Many school-age children cannot continue school or have dropped out of school and cannot even continue their education to the next level, according to information from the Center for Data and Information Technology (Pusdatin), Monday (13/11)
Regarding the number of students who were declared to have dropped out (DO), graduated and not continued (LTM) in Tangerang Regency, the total number was 21,829 from elementary to high school levels and if you look at the elementary to middle school levels, there were 18,966 students.
With the large number of children dropping out of school, the Tangerang Regency Education Office is socializing data collection, verification and validation of data on children who have dropped out of school and children who are not in school at the Yasmin Hotel. (13.11.2023).

“The Tangerang Regency Education Service will carry out activities to resolve the school dropout rate in collaboration with the Tangerang Regency Community Empowerment and Village Government Service (DPMPD) in the form of Equivalent Education Scholarships Package A, Package B and Package C.
“For priority aged 7 to 21 years and people aged above through the Village Level Equal Education Program (PAKADES), which is an implementation of educational care villages launched by the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia,” he explained.
This collaboration program between the Education Department and the Tangerang Regency Community Empowerment and Village Government Service (DPMPD) will of course also involve other stakeholders.
Such as the Regional Planning and Development Agency (BAPPEDA), Tangerang Regency Ministry of Religion, Social Services, Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Service (DP3A), Diskominfo, Population and Civil Registry Services.
District Government and all Village Governments in Tangerang Regency. “In addition to collaborating with fellow OPDs, we also see the need for support from elements from organizations and agencies related to the implementation of the PAKADES Program, including the District Head Forum, APDESI, FK-PKBM.

Dadan Gandana added, that in order to run this innovation program, of course the most important factor is carrying out verification and validation of data on out-of-school and non-school children.
In this socialization, the Education Department invited a team from PUSDATIN to socialize the Data Collection Application for village operators so that school dropout data in the village could be verified.
