Kaligis Expects Four Persons from Soekarno-Hatta Customs to Be Examined Jakarta.
Lawyer OC Kaligis expects four Customs and Excise officers from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang City, Banten to be questioned regarding the case of ownership of nine luxury cars belonging to client Kenneth Koh Keik Lun.
Kaligis in Jakarta, Wednesday (15/5/2024) said that there were four Customs officers who had to be questioned, namely Niki Budhi Darma, Zaki Firmansyah, Ken Indarto and Yoga, that the lawyer saw the client’s car in the goods storage area.
“Is it true that nine of the client’s cars have been bought and sold or are said to be circulating on the streets or that other parties have control of the cars,” Kaligis questioned.
This is related to Kaligis having sent a letter to the Director General of Customs and Excise, Askolani dated 14 May 2024 number 324/OCK.V/2024 regarding notification of alleged car storage by Customs and Excise officers at the largest airport in Indonesia.
In the letter to the Director General of Customs and Excise there is also a copy to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo as a report for information.
The problem was related to his client’s question about the return of nine luxury cars including Roll Royce, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, McLaren.
According to him, his party suspected that the lawyer originally wanted to see the car in the warehouse, but the vehicle was stored and controlled by a private company, namely the Trustlaw Firm.
Lawyers from the OC Kaligis Office who visited the Soekarno-Hatta Customs and Excise office were Johny Politon, Isabella Nikita Kaligis, Faisal Nurrizal, Muhammad Faris, Fascal Dimitri Dompas and Andi Azhim Fahreza Aswal.
During the visit to the Customs and Excise office there was also a transcript of the conversation between the legal advisory team and Customs and Excise officials.
He added that on September 30 2022 there had been a letter to pay the fine, but the basis for paying the fine was not explained. Meanwhile, Kaligis on April 15 2024 reported the matter to the Indonesian Attorney General’s Office.
