Handing Over 72 Sacrificial Animals, Minister AHY Interprets Eid al-Adha: The Spirit of Sharing with Others.

The Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) handed over the sacrificial animals of the ATR/BPN Ministry employees to the Nuurur Rahman Mosque Prosperity Council.

The total animals handed over were 61 cows and 11 sacrificial goats. The procession of handing over sacrificial animals was carried out on the first day of work after Eid al-Adha, Wednesday (19/06/2024).

In his speech, the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN told the ranks to take lessons from this Eid al-Adha. One of them is the spirit of diversity towards fellow humans.

“Horizontal piety, sharing solidarity is important. “Indonesia is a big country, Indonesia also still has challenges including poverty, inequality in certain places which we know need our attention and help,” he said.

Sacrifice is a form of concern for ministry employees for others by setting aside some of their wealth so that less fortunate people can experience the solemnity of the holiday.

“Hopefully the reward will flow to all of you and our families, so that faith, devotion to Allah SWT and this high level of social concern and solidarity will become our strength,” said Minister AHY.

Apart from that, the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN also said that all levels could emulate the story of the Prophet Ibrahim, who was the origin of the sacrifice.

How is it necessary to interpret the open heart of Prophet Ibrahim who was willing to carry out Allah SWT’s command to sacrifice the child whose presence he had been waiting for decades?

“This is a fragment of an extraordinary story, so hopefully we can continue to emulate stories like this,” he said.

He did not forget to pray for the ranks of the Ministry of ATR/BPN who had just finished carrying out the Hajj.

“Hopefully our brothers and sisters who have just performed the Hajj in the holy land will become prosperous Hajj and Hajj, returning to their homeland with new enthusiasm and of course we will all receive its blessings,” said Minister AHY.

“Including, I pray for the extended family of the Ministry of ATR/BPN who have not been able to perform the Hajj. “Hopefully we will get a call from Allah SWT in the years to come,” concluded the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN.

Present at this activity were the Trustees of IKAWATI ATR/BPN, Annisa Pohan Yudhoyono and his staff, a number of Middle and Primary Leadership Officials of the Ministry of ATR/BPN, a number of Heads of Regional Offices and Land Offices of the Ministry of ATR/BPN.
