Jambi, posindonesianews.id Victims of land crimes, especially those caused by the land mafia, are still scattered throughout Indonesia. This was stated by the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN). Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) at the Press Conference Revealing Land Crimes in Jambi which took place at the Siginjai Sakti Wira Bhakti Building, Jambi Regional Police, Tuesday (25/06/2024). He said that during his four month journey as Minister of ATR/Head of BPN. It was enough to make him understand how complex the problems involving the land mafia were. Victims of the land mafia regardless of economic, social and political background. "Everyone can become a victim, vulnerable people certainly suffer the most because they have no effort to defend themselves and fight for justice and their rights to land that should belong to them," said Minister AHY. Therefore, Minister AHY appealed to the public to take four concrete steps to avoid the land mafia. First, people who do not yet have a certificate are expected to immediately register and certify their land. "Making a certificate is very easy, fast, with PTSL (Complete Systematic Land Registration, ed.) without any strange fees. Come to the local BPN office where you are, God willing, we will serve you well. "It is proven that the original certificates owned by the victims were somehow able to save the assets they owned," said Minister AHY. His next appeal was aimed at people who already have a certificate. "If you already have a certificate, don't carelessly entrust it or lend it to anyone who doesn't have the right. Often the perpetrator is around the victim. "Secure the certificates that we already have, this will prevent falsification and unauthorized duplication of documents," continued Minister AHY. The community is also asked to maintain and not neglect their land by making permanent land boundary marks. "Don't neglect our land, check our land, don't let it go on for years without anyone using it and there are no limits. "If possible, install more permanent boundary markers, so that they are not easily shifted and end up being taken over by anyone," explained Minister AHY. If you have tried to protect your land, but still become victims of land mafia elements, Minister AHY invites the public not to hesitate to report it to the Anti-Land Mafia Task Force. "We all agree and have a commitment to increasingly synergize. "Especially in Jambi, we know that there are still many problems that we have to solve, but with collaboration and synergy, I am sure we can solve them all," he concluded. Present at the Press Conference on the Disclosure of Land Crimes in Jambi, were a number of Middle and High Level Officials from the Ministry of ATR/BPN. Including the Chair of the Anti-Land Mafia Task Force; the Governor of Jambi and the ranks of law enforcement officers (APH) of Jambi Province; as well as the Head of the Jambi Province BPN Regional Office and his staff.
