A resident of Sijenjang Village in Jambi Province, on Tuesday, officially became the legal owner of the land where his family's inherited house had stood since 1977.

Kurnia (33) even received a certificate directly from the Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY).

Since he first occupied the house, Kurnia said that his family had never submitted a land certification process.

"I've been here since 1977. I never thought about making a certificate because there was no money yet," he explained after receiving the certificate.

Kurnia also doesn't know that since 2017 there has been a land registration program with minimal fees.

It was only then that he was introduced to the Complete Systematic Land Registration (PTSL) program.

Finally, he began to consider getting involved in making a certificate for his land for the first time.

With the assistance of the local Neighborhood Association (RT) Chair, Kurnia immediately prepared the necessary administrative needs.

"Yesterday Mr. RT gave me information (PTSL) for free. So I submitted it.

Ask the RT, then ask the Village Head what the process is. It turns out the process is easy and the requirements are also easy. "And there are no costs at all," said Kurnia.

He concluded that approximately the time used for the entire land registration process was one month.

That time included Kurnia's process of preparing administrative requirements, measuring his land, until his certificate was completed.

"I'm happy, I already have the certificate. Relieved, I don't have any burdens," said Kurnia and her mother with great emotion.
