The Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) continues to strive to resolve land conflicts and disputes that occur in Indonesia.
In its implementation, it requires support and cooperation from various parties, including from the Supreme Court.
“We appeal of course to His Excellency the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and the ranks including those at the central and regional levels.
“We want the handling of land disputes and conflicts to be fully backed up by a judicial system that is also prudent, transparent, accountable and fair,” said the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) after a meeting at the Supreme Court Office. , Jakarta on Monday (22/07/2024).
According to Minister AHY, conflicts and disputes that occur are often complicated by differences in perceptions and definitions.
Therefore, Minister AHY and the Chairman of the Supreme Court, M. Syarifuddin, agreed on this occasion that parties handling land conflicts must be certified.
“We agreed that we would immediately realize cooperation in the form of certification.
Certification for judges who are specifically prepared to handle land cases is very important because it is specific, the issues are specific, their knowledge and experience must also be prepared as well as possible.
“Therefore, the modules are being formulated well,” said the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN.
In the future, it is planned to hold workshops for training and case studies related to land issues.
“Hopefully this will solve many problems and in the end no one will become a victim because they are not treated fairly, and instead we can truly resolve all land disputes and issues,” concluded Minister AHY.
During this visit, Minister AHY was accompanied by the Deputy Minister of ATR/Deputy Head of BPN, Raja Juli Antoni along with Middle and Primary High Leadership Officials of the Ministry of ATR/BPN.
