Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) met with the General Chair of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), Anindya Bakrie on Monday (23/09/2024) at the Ministry of ATR/BPN , Jakarta.
In this meeting, the two parties discussed future steps for Indonesia’s economic development as well as opportunities for synergy in land and spatial planning aspects.
“Mas Anin’s presence at the ATR/BPN Ministry conveys the message that to develop the Indonesian economy in the future in various sectors requires synergy and collaboration.
“Of course KADIN will also oversee various organizations, not only KADIN in the regions but also various associations,” said Minister AHY in front of the media crew.
He explained that the ATR/BPN Ministry also has an important and strategic role in developing Indonesia’s economy in the future. One of them is through good regional spatial planning in Indonesia.
“This spatial planning can really be managed properly, it is clear which ones are for residential use, which ones are used for industry, which ones are used for agriculture, plantations and so on.
“Of course we also want to provide legal certainty,” said Minister AHY.
Furthermore, according to Minister AHY, the legal certainty of land rights which continues to be worked on by the Ministry of ATR/BPN will have an impact on the course of investment.
“Because we talked about investment that will flow if there is legal certainty, including legal certainty over land in Indonesia.
“So, of course I hope that KADIN can progress further and continue to contribute to the Indonesian economy,” he said.
Chairman of KADIN, Anindya Bakrie appreciated the opportunity to meet with the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN and discuss opportunities for cooperation between KADIN and ATR/BPN.
““I am very happy that the Minister took the time to receive us.
“This is very helpful to be able to work together and we see that the cooperation with KADIN is very large because.
KADIN is a strategic partner of the government and also an umbrella for the business world based on law,” he said.
At this meeting, discussions regarding Land Redistribution carried out by the ATR/BPN Ministry were also raised.
Anindya Bakrie said that the Land Redistribution program could be an opportunity for KADIN in districts/cities and provinces to help support the growing Indonesian economy.
“Apart from that, we also talked about the Land Bank’s innovation, which is very helpful for investment in Indonesia.
Especially in terms of legal certainty as stated by the Minister.
We will also touch a little on government regulations regarding traditional carbon.
“In order to involve the private business world so that it becomes fuel to be able to prioritize government programs,” concluded Anindya Bakrie who was present accompanied by a number of his staff.
