President Joko Widodo’s term of office will end in a matter of days. At the end of this term of office, the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN).
Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) has again beaten up the land mafia by revealing two cases of land crimes that occurred in Bekasi Regency, West Java.
“Although it is now October 15, in 5 days, October 20, we usually focus on political affairs and the transition of leadership and government at the national level.
But our presence and all of us show that the main task remains number one and we continue to beat up the land mafia,” said Minister AHY in a press conference held at the Bekasi Metro Police, Tuesday (10/15/2024).
Minister AHY revealed two cases of land crimes with a total potential value of state and community losses saved reaching IDR 183,563,890,260.
The first case was carried out by five land mafia who have been named as suspects with the modus operandi of forging a deed of sale.
From this land crime, the total loss saved reached more than IDR 4 billion which came from real loss.
Meanwhile, for the second case, it was carried out by two suspects. The modus operandi used in this case was forgery by duplicating certificates in the name of their families into 39 certificates.
No half measures, the total potential loss saved from this case reached more than IDR 179 billion which came from real loss, fiscal loss, and potential loss of the Cibitung-Cilincing Toll Road project.
“So it was calculated carefully by the Anti-Land Mafia Task Force because I said we have to be really precise because every rupiah must be saved because the people are the victims, the country also loses.
If this continues to happen, it will be difficult for us to advance sustainable development, which can bring increased economic value as well as justice for our society,” continued Minister AHY.
For 2024 alone, Minister AHY said that there were 98 operational targets (TO) that had entered the suspect determination stage.
For TOs that have been determined to enter the P19 and P21 stages, there are already 85 TOs.
Meanwhile, specifically those that have entered the P21 stage, meaning that the case files are complete, there are 55 TOs with a total of 165 suspects covering a land area of more than 488 hectares and a potential loss value of IDR 11,642,191,813,116.
The success in uncovering land crimes is the result of joint work from the Anti-Land Mafia Task Force team.
This land crime can also be revealed thanks to the synergy and collaboration of four parties, namely the Ministry of ATR/BPN, the Police, the Prosecutor’s Office, and the regional government (Pemda).
“Without solid cooperation and if we work alone, it is difficult to uncover crimes like this.
On behalf of the Ministry of ATR/BPN and of course the Anti-Land Mafia Task Force, we all express our gratitude for the cooperation and hard work so far,” concluded Minister AHY.
Present on this occasion were a number of High-Ranking and Pratama Officials of the Ministry of ATR/BPN, Head of the Anti-Land Mafia Task Force.
Head of the West Java Province BPN Regional Office, Yuniar Hikmat Ginanjar and staff; as well as the leadership of the Police and the Prosecutor’s Office.
