The Tangerang Regency Government through the Environment and Sanitation Service (DLHK) conducted a simulation of AWS Pyrolysis Technology at the Mustika Ikhlas Reduce Reuse Recycle Waste Processing Site (TPS 3R), Tuesday (10/22).

This was done as an effort to address waste problems comprehensively from upstream to downstream.

Acting Regional Secretary of Tangerang Regency, Soma Atmaja welcomed the DLHK initiative in collaboration with PT Indopower Internasional.

The application of this technology is expected to reduce the residue disposed of at the Jatiwaringin Final Disposal Site (TPA).

“Along with the population growth that occurs in Tangerang Regency, waste has become a problem that must be handled seriously. Approximately 2,500 tons of waste are produced every day,” he said while giving a speech at TPS 3R, Monday (10/21/2024).

Soma emphasized that in addition to strengthening efforts at the middle and downstream levels, the government also continues to educate the public to be able to sort waste.

so that waste production at the Jatiwaringin TPA can be further decomposed.

“Hopefully with the presence of pyrolysis technology at TPS 3R, especially in Mustika, it can run effectively so that it reaches zero waste,” he said.

On the same occasion, the Head of DLHK, Fahru Rozi revealed that the use of the AWS Pyrolysis tool will be implemented at two points, namely TPS 3R Mustika Ikhlas and TPS 3R Salembaran Jaya Mandiri.

“This tool can sort waste, both organic and non-organic waste, for TPS 3R Mustika Ikhlas, the capacity that can be accommodated is 20 tons of waste,” he said.
