The Tangerang Regency Government (Pemkab) held an event for the Awarding of Internal Archives Supervision Results and the Signing of the Tangerang Regency Level Archives Awareness Movement in 2024 at the Tangerang Regency Government Center Multipurpose Building, Monday (10/21/2024).

Acting (Pj) Regent of Tangerang, Andi Ony said that this activity was held to strengthen the commitment of regional apparatus in implementing archives management in an orderly and organized manner which is expected to encourage higher awareness of the importance of archives management.

“Orderly archives are the main key in supporting clean, effective, and transparent governance. We must implement this National Movement for Awareness of Orderly Archives even better,” said Andi Ony.

According to him, this event is also in line with the Regulation of the Head of the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia Number 7 of 2017, in which Tangerang Regency has implemented the Launching of the National Movement for Awareness of Orderly Archives since March 2020.

The movement aims to create accountable governance through good archive management.

“In 2024, we will again strengthen this commitment by signing the Tangerang Regency-level Movement for Awareness of Orderly Archives,” he added.

He greatly appreciated the regional apparatus that managed to win awards for their success in managing archives in accordance with the established archival rules and principles.

“Congratulations to the regional apparatus that has received the award. Hopefully this will be a motivation to continue to improve the quality of archive management in each work environment,” he said.

On the same occasion, the Head of the Tangerang Regency Library and Archives Service, Nurul Hayati, explained that in supporting the Movement for Awareness of Orderly Archives, his party had carried out Internal Archival Supervision in 34 regional apparatuses.

“This supervision aims to improve understanding and ability in managing archives, and ensure that each regional apparatus carries out archive management properly,” said Nurul.

The supervision, which was carried out from May to June 2024, involved 34 regional apparatuses including agencies, services, and regional hospitals in Tangerang Regency.

The results of the supervision were determined through the Decree of the Regent of Tangerang Number 000.5.15.1 / Kep.877-Huk / 2024.

Nurul hopes that with this award, each regional apparatus will be increasingly motivated to implement more orderly archive management and in accordance with applicable standards.
