Cooperation with JICA, Director General of PTPP Hopes Land Management Will Be More Innovative and Impactful.

The Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) through the Directorate General of Land Acquisition and Land Development (PTPP) has started cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

The official cooperation was marked by the signing of the Record of Discussions (RoD) “Project for Capacity Development for Land Development Policy Making and Land Bank Management Improvement” at the Office of the Ministry of ATR/BPN, Jakarta, Tuesday (11/19/2024).

“This signing marks the beginning of a journey that will strengthen our institutions, improve land development capabilities, and ensure that land management policies are innovative and impactful,” said the Director General (Dirjen) of PTPP, Ministry of ATR/BPN, Embun Sari.

Through the collaboration between the Ministry of ATR/BPN and JICA, it is hoped that a culture of excellence and innovation can be fostered in developing land management by maximizing its use for the benefit of the people.

This is in line with the government’s commitment to realizing Asta Cita on Food and Energy Self-Sufficiency.

On several occasions, the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN, Nusron Wahid, said that to achieve this ideal, good land governance is needed.

Together with JICA, Embun Sari believes that the vision of a brighter and more inclusive future can be achieved.

“Hopefully this collaboration will inspire further initiatives and foster a culture of excellence in land development.

Let us work together to ensure that this partnership provides meaningful results for the people of Indonesia,” said the Director General of PTPP, Ministry of ATR/BPN.

Chief Representative of JICA Indonesia, Takeda Sachiko, expressed her pride in being able to collaborate with the Ministry of ATR/BPN.

According to her, this activity is a symbol of progress and commitment to continue to work together to build a safe land management system that can protect the environment in Indonesia.

“In the field of land administration and land development, I hope this project will lead to stronger governance and increase public trust in the land management system,” said Takeda Sachiko.

Also attending this activity were Senior High-Level Officials and Administrators within the Directorate General of PTPP, Ministry of ATR/BPN.

Also present were Senior Representative of JICA Indonesia, Kazuyuki Kakuda and representatives of the Land Bank Agency.
