On behalf of the Tangerang Regency Library and Archives Service, we would like to thank the resource persons who are willing to share their knowledge.

As well as the participants who have attended from various village libraries in Tangerang Regency, also to all the committees who have carried out their duties so that this activity can run smoothly.

Let’s together improve the culture of literacy in various fields, especially digital literacy, one of which is to improve community welfare,” said Gita in her speech.

The resource person was Ahmad Taufiq Jamaludin as the Head of the Banten Province ICT Volunteers, explaining the conditions and phenomena of digital technology.

Currently, what is changing various joints in society is the importance of building 4 pillars of digital literacy, including, Cakap Digital, Aman Digital, Budaya Digital, and Etika Digital which is abbreviated as “CABE”.

“With these 4 pillars, it is hoped that we can all implement them so that digital skills, digital security, digital culture, and digital ethics can be our guidelines in living in the cyber world,” said Taufiq.

He continued, for example, in terms of digital skills, it is hoped that there will be no more people who are gaptek (technologically illiterate), able to distinguish between hoaxes or not.

Also be critical of the information received. Meanwhile, in terms of digital security, people are able to be aware and more careful about content sent from people they don’t know.

Not clicking on links carelessly, not sharing personal data in public spaces, and being able to secure their respective digital devices such as changing passwords regularly and activating two-factor authentication.

In addition, in terms of digital culture, being able to become Indonesian netizens who uphold Bhinneka Tunggal Ika in cyberspace, and building a productive digital culture so as to minimize digital addiction.

And in terms of digital ethics, being able to act politely and courteously in digital communication as applied in direct communication in the real world every day, such as starting with a greeting, and avoiding content that contains hate speech.

And able to maintain reputation and digital footprint.

Taufiq also reviewed the recent viral remarks of a religious leader to an iced tea seller.

“It’s the same as the viral video of a religious leader’s remarks to an iced tea seller.

This will last forever for his children and grandchildren, even though it was done as a joke or a joke and has apologized.

Therefore, we must be wise in our behavior, especially in the digital world and social media.

Take care of our digital footprint as best we can because it has now become our reputation,” continued Taufiq.

One of the participants, Renny Melfia Afwan, was very enthusiastic and interested in the presentation given by the speaker.

She asked to sharpen the detoxification efforts from digital addiction symptoms.

“I have observed the steps for detoxification of digital addiction that have been explained and want to ask how to implement them in family parenting patterns in the current digital era (digital parenting).

I am very interested and I feel that this is very important for children and grandchildren to implement in our families,” said Renny.

The resource person then went into more depth about how digital parenting patterns can be built together with children through an agreement.

Don’t be pushy, but it must be built based on awareness. Agree together on what is and isn’t allowed, for example regarding the use of gadgets at home.

Such as in the bedroom, dining table, toilet, and during family time, gadgets are prohibited.

Something that is also dangerous for eye health is if the bedroom lights have been turned off during rest time but the child still turns on and looks at the cellphone screen with bright light, this must be avoided.

In addition, all family members can also schedule interesting physical activities together to temporarily get away from being connected to gadgets.

Such as reading books, jogging, developing hobbies, planting, or going on vacation to areas that are still beautiful and have no signal.
