Extraordinary Provincial Conference (Konferprovlub) of the Association of Indonesian Journalists (PWI) of Banten Province was officially held at Soll Marina Hotel, Tangerang City, Thursday (19/12/2024).
The activity was held after the Central PWI Management appointed the executor (Acting) Chairman of Banten Junaidi Provincial PWI.
There are two candidates who came forward in the election of PWI Chairman of Banten Province, Mashudi and Hari Kibo.
However, Hari Kibo chose to withdraw in the election contest. As a result, Mashudi was elected by acclamation as the Chairman of PWI Banten Province for the period 2024 to 2029.
During his speech, Mashudi emphasized the importance of synergy with district and city level administrators in Banten Province. He thanked Hari Kibo for the support given.
“We have often talked and communicated.
We both have the same vision and mission. That is to give birth to professional and credible journalists for a better PWI Banten,” he explained.
This man who is also the Boss of Radar Banten emphasized the importance of PWI as an organization that continues to produce professional and credible journalists. “So in the future, professional journalists are in PWI,” he said.
He asked all parties to work together and synergize to grow the organization of the journalist profession.
“The benefits and existence of the organization are not only felt by the members and management.
We have to fill each other’s gaps and cover up the shortcomings. Until the organization of journalists is more respected and dignified,” he explained.
Mashudi expressed his gratitude to the management and Chairman of PWI Pusat Hendry CH Bangun for their guidance and support.
“This is our joint commitment to fix PWI Banten and support the Chairman of Central PWI Hendry CH Bangun,” he explained.
The Konverprovlub Banten was attended by the Chairman of the Central PWI Hendry CH Bangun accompanied by several managers of the Central PWI.
