Secretary of the Honorary Council (DK) of the Banten Province PWI Sahatma Refindo received the Press Card Number One (PCNO) award at the peak of the 2025 National Press Day (HPN) commemoration which took place in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, on Sunday (9/2/2025).

Sahatma Refindo, who is familiarly called Bang Atma, received a prestigious award in the form of Press Card Number One (PCNO) from the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) Center and the National Committee for the 2025 HPN Commemoration in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan.

This award was given as a form of recognition for Atma’s dedication and devotion for more than 30 years in the world of journalism.

Sahatma Refindo’s Dedication to the World of Journalism

Sahatma Refindo is a figure who has devoted himself to the world of journalism for more than three decades.

His unwavering dedication in delivering accurate and balanced information makes him a role model for many young journalists.

During his career, Atma has covered various important events, given his voice to the community, and fought for press freedom in Indonesia.

Sahatma Refindo was born in Jakarta on September 27, 1965. He is a journalist who has devoted himself to various media, from magazines to newspapers, since 1988.

Some of the media he has worked for include Komoditi Indonesia Magazine, Detektif Romantika Magazine, Detektif Espionase Magazine, Aneka Ria Magazine.

Tabloid Pendidikan Bahari, Koran Inti Jaya, Koran Sentana, Koran Tangerang Raya and until now he is a senior editor at Koran Warta Banten.

Currently, Atma also serves as Editor-in-Chief of Online Media Fixsnews.co.id and Indonesia Cerdas News.

Atma is a member of PWI with membership number 31.00.11457.04B.

He has been active in various journalist organizations, including serving as Chair of PWI Tangerang Regency for two terms and currently serving as Secretary of the Honorary Council of PWI Banten Province.

His experience in the world of journalism is also demonstrated through various training and activities that he has participated in, including journalism training and journalism safaris organized by the Central PWI.

Bang Atma has also dedicated himself as a Journalism Mulok teacher at SMAN 14 Tangerang for 6 Years 11 Months.

PCNO Recipient Requirements, To receive a Press Card Number One (PCNO) from the Central PWI, there are several requirements that must be met, including:

Producing journalistic works that are recognized nationally or internationally.

Producing journalistic works consistently for at least 25 years.

Being a pioneer in the development of the journalistic genre in Indonesia.

Contributing to advancing Indonesian journalism through journalistic ideas, writings, articles, or books.

Defending press freedom. Improving human resources (HR) for the Indonesian press.
