As a follow-up to the Presidential Instruction (Inpres) of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1 of 2025, the budget ceiling of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) for the 2025 Fiscal Year after efficiency was agreed by Commission II of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) to be Rp4,442,981,052,000.

This was agreed upon in a Working Meeting held in the Meeting Room of Commission II of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), Jakarta, Wednesday (12/02/2025).

“We explained that our ceiling before there was efficiency was IDR 6,454,781,052,000. We gained efficiency of IDR 2,011,800,000,000 or equivalent to 31.17 percent.

So that the remaining funds are still IDR 4,442,981,052,000,” said the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN, Nusron Wahid in his report to the Leaders and Members of Commission II of the Indonesian House of Representatives who were present.

Met after the activity, Minister Nusron revealed that the government is currently optimizing the use of the budget through efficiency to ensure the allocation of funds.

More targeted, especially for priority programs that are the focus of the government of President Prabowo and Vice President Gibran. This efficiency step is also carried out in the context of budget refocusing.

“This budget efficiency is good for refocusing. So that we focus on programs that are truly the priority of the government of Mr. Prabowo and Mr. Gibran.

A mechanism like this is in order to eliminate unnecessary “fat”. Because if we realize it, sometimes we have things that are excessively needed,” said Minister Nusron.

Minister Nusron also highlighted the practice of unnecessary meetings outside the city.

To overcome this, the Ministry of ATR/BPN is now utilizing a building in Cikeas that has complete facilities such as bedrooms and meeting rooms, so that spending on staying in hotels can be reduced.

“Moreover, if we currently have a building in Cikeas, there are bedrooms, there are meeting rooms, so that what is usually a full meeting package in hotels, we cut it, we move there, so it is cheaper,” added Minister Nusron.

Chairman of Commission II of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Rifqinizamy Karsayuda, gave his appreciation for the government’s steps in implementing budget efficiency, with hope.

So that changes in budget management in ministries and institutions can run well.

According to him, budget efficiency carried out by the government is an important step to increase the effectiveness of the use of state funds.

“I think we should appreciate the government that is carrying out budget efficiency and inevitably has to change budget management in each ministry and institution.

This budget efficiency does require joint creativity to optimize existing resources,” said Rifqinizamy Karsayuda.

On this occasion, the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN was accompanied by the Deputy Minister of ATR/Deputy Head of BPN, Ossy Dermawan.
