The Indonesian Journalists Association (IKWI) of Tangerang Regency is ready to play a role in supporting the welfare of journalists in Banten, especially Tangerang Regency.
This was stated by the Chairperson of IKWI Tangerang Regency, K Fatmawati when holding a member meeting at the PWI Tangerang Regency Building, on Jalan Printis Kemerdekaan II, Cikokol, Tangerang City, Saturday (22/2/25).
On that occasion, Fatmawati invited all journalists’ wives who are members of the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) of Tangerang Regency to actively participate in IKWI activities.
“The agenda for the IKWI Tangerang Regency Meeting this time is to discuss the composition of the IKWI Tangerang Regency management and a number of activities that will be carried out in 2025,” said Fatmawati.
She explained that IKWI Tangerang Regency is currently planning activities to face the holy month of Ramadan and other activities.
“The IKWI activity plan for 2025 includes making Ramadan takjil, Halal bi Halal, inauguration of IKWI Banten, audiences with various parties, UMKM training, and other activities,” he said.
According to him, the activities carried out by IKWI are to support and improve the welfare of journalist families.
“Hopefully, by playing a role in Tangerang Regency, IKWI can improve the welfare of journalist families, especially in Tangerang Regency,” he concluded.
For information, the history of the Indonesian Journalist Family Association (IKWI) is an independent social community organization.
IKWI was born out of a shared desire to preserve the family life of the National Press.
Initially, IKWI was formed in the regions with the aim of strengthening friendship, increasing knowledge and broad insight in order to achieve a happy and prosperous family.
Then the IKWI organization was institutionalized into an independent social organization with management at the Central, Branch and Representative levels.
