Tangerang Regent Maesyal Rasyid together with Tangerang Deputy Regent Intan Nurul Hikmah opened the Gema Ramadan 1446 Hijriah event at the Al-Amjad Grand Mosque, Tigaraksa, Monday (3/3/2025).

In addition to being a series of worship during the holy month of Ramadan, this event is also an event for empowering the local economy through Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) activities involving around 40 tenants.

On that occasion, Tangerang Regent Maesyal appreciated the implementation of Gema Ramadan which was attended by hundreds of local people.

According to him, this year’s Gema Ramadan has a broader meaning than before because it not only focuses on religious aspects, but also aims to improve the community’s economy through empowering UMKM.

“This is an extraordinary moment, where the community, especially mosque youth, with the enthusiasm to welcome the holy month of Ramadan, hold this event.

I am sure, this activity will have a very big impact, both in terms of worship and economy,” said Maesyal at the location.

The Gema Ramadan 1446 Hijriah event showed significant developments.

This activity is not only a means to increase the spirituality of Muslims during the month of Ramadan but also opens up opportunities for MSMEs to showcase their local products.

A total of 40 tenants who attended came from various sectors, such as food, beverages, handicrafts, and other local products.

With the presence of these various products, people can not only worship, but can also buy products that support the local economy.

The Regent of Tangerang added that Gema Ramadan is a model for other similar activities in the future, where the religious sector and the local economy can go hand in hand.

“Ramadan is a moment to strengthen faith, but also the right time to advance our regional economy.

Therefore, I hope that the products exhibited are not only known around Tigaraksa, but can also develop more widely,” he said.

With various MSME products on display, Gema Ramadan 2025 not only focuses on buying and selling activities, but also as a strategic step to increase local food security.

The products exhibited are mostly the result of local community production, which is expected to increase people’s purchasing power and create new jobs.

In closing, Regent Maesyal emphasized the importance of togetherness between the community, clerics, and government in enlivening the month of Ramadan.

According to him, the success of this event cannot be separated from the solid cooperation between various elements, starting from the event committee, the community, to the local government.

“This Ramadan Echo is real proof of the cooperation between clerics, the community, and the government.

This is one of the important capitals in creating an event that is beneficial to many people.

With this togetherness, we can fill the month of Ramadan with activities that not only strengthen faith, but also drive the Local Economy,” concluded the Regent of Tangerang, Maesyal Rasyid.
