Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) issued Certificates of Ownership for residents who are willing to be relocated from Rempang Island to Tanjung Banon.
Deputy Minister (Wamen) of ATR/Deputy Head (Waka) of BPN, Ossy Dermawan revealed that this certification began with the initiation of the Batam Free Trade Zone and Free Port Authority (BP Batam), which is willing to release its Management Rights (HPL) for residents who are willing to be relocated.
“The Ministry of ATR/BPN welcomes this goodwill, we respond to the community’s land certification application with the highest accuracy, the highest speed, and thank God the highest rights status, namely the Ownership Certificate.
Thank God a total of 161 Ownership Certificates have been issued for the community,” said Ossy Dermawan who was present in person to hand over the certificates to residents, at the BP Batam Office, Tuesday (03/18/2025).
The Deputy Minister of ATR/Waka BPN said that this certification was the result of collaboration between the Ministry of ATR/BPN, the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional Development (Kemenko IPK), the Ministry of Transmigration, the Riau Islands Provincial Government, and the Batam City Government.
“Of course we also express our gratitude to BP Batam who has agreed to release some of its rights from its HPL field to become Ownership Rights for the community.
Of course we appreciate this as much as possible for BP Batam,” said the Deputy Minister of ATR/Waka BPN.
On the same occasion, Coordinating Minister for IPK, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono said that currently the relocated community can calmly live in their new homes.
“Alhamdulillah, the houses are here and what has been asked and expected for the certainty of the certificates has now come to fruition,” he said.
Also present at this activity were the Minister of Transmigration, Iftitah Sulaiman; Governor of the Riau Islands, Ansar Ahmad, and the Mayor and Head of BP Batam, Amsakar Achmad.
Accompanying the Deputy Minister of ATR/Waka BPN, Head of the BPN Regional Office of the Riau Islands Province, Nurus Sholichin and Head of the Batam City Land Office, Deni Prasetyo.
