In order to celebrate Eid al-Adha, the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) of Tangerang Regency held a sacrificial animal slaughtering event on Friday, June 6, 2025.

This event was held in the yard of the local PWI office and was attended by journalists, PWI members, and the general public.

The Chairperson of the Tangerang Regency PWI, Sri Mulyo, on the sidelines of the activity conveyed the importance of emulating the values ​​of sacrifice and piety taught by the Prophet Ibrahim AS and his son, the Prophet Ismail AS.

“Eid al-Adha is not just a celebration, but also a moment to reflect on the meaning of sacrifice and sincerity in carrying out duties as journalists,” he said.

The event began with a joint prayer, followed by the slaughter of one cow and one goat.

The slaughtering process was carried out solemnly and in accordance with Islamic law, reflecting gratitude for the blessings given.

Sri Mulyo added that journalists must continue to contribute better to society by prioritizing ethics and integrity.

“We must emulate the noble values ​​taught by Prophet Ibrahim and Ismail, and make Eid al-Adha a momentum to improve our quality and professionalism in carrying out journalistic duties.

As journalists, we must be ready to make sacrifices to convey the truth and provide information that is useful to the public,” he added.

The event was also filled with social activities, where the Tangerang Regency PWI distributed qurban meat to people in need.

“We hope that through this activity, we can share happiness and help others, in accordance with the spirit of Eid al-Adha,” said Mulyo.

Mulyo also expressed his gratitude to close partners, especially the Regent of Tangerang, Moch. Maesyal Rasyid, who has donated one cow, and Perumdam Tirta Kerta Raharja Tangerang Regency who donated one goat.
