Attending the 1st ASWAKADA National Conference, Deputy Regent Ready to Synergize in the Regional Leadership Network.

Tangerang Deputy Regent Intan Nurul Hikmah stated that the Tangerang Regency Government (Pemkab) is committed to continuing to synergize in the network that is gathered in the Association of Deputy Regional Heads (ASWAKADA) Indonesia.

This was conveyed by Tangerang Deputy Regent Intan Nurul Hikmah when attending the 1st ASWAKADA Indonesia National Conference (Munas) at the New Saphir Hotel, Yogyakarta, Friday (3/07/25).

The 1st ASWAKADA National Conference lasted for three days and was attended by Deputy Regional Heads throughout Indonesia.

The agenda of the National Conference discussed several agendas, namely the discussion of the organization’s AD/ART, the election of the central management for the 2025-2030 period, and the discussion of the official transformation of the Deputy Regional Head Forum (FORWAKADA) into the Deputy Regional Head Association (ASWAKADA).

The results of the 1st ASWAKADA National Conference determined that the Deputy Mayor of Surabaya, Armuji, was elected as the General Chairperson of ASWAKADA for the first term.

Accompanied by Deputy Chairperson I, H. Mugiyono (Deputy Regent of Manokwari), and Deputy Chairperson II, Marthinus Umbu Djoka (Deputy Regent of Central Sumba).

Deputy Regent Intan hopes that the deputy regional heads can become strategic partners of regional heads in ensuring the sustainability of a more advanced development vision in their respective regions.

“For the past two days, I have been attending the National Conference in order to strengthen the role of Deputy Regional Heads in supporting the work of Regional Heads.

Hopefully all of our work programs can run well to strengthen the position of Deputy Regional Heads in their respective regions,” he said.

According to him, the Tangerang Regency Government will continue to synergize in a regional leadership network that is visionary, collaborative, and oriented towards mutual progress.

“We, the Tangerang Regency Government, are strongly committed to continuing to synergize in a regional leadership network that is visionary, collaborative, and oriented towards mutual interests and progress,” he said.

FORWAKADA Chairman Robby Nahliyansyah explained that the first Munas was important for the transformation of the Deputy Regional Head Forum (Forwakada) into ASWAKADA as an official forum for synergy between Deputy Regional Heads throughout Indonesia.

“There are 508 Deputy Regional Heads throughout Indonesia. This Munas is not just a discussion space, but also a strategic media to strengthen relations between regional governments and the central government in facing the challenges of national development,” he explained.

He continued, with the theme “Strengthening the Role of Deputy Regional Heads as Pillars of Regional Leadership Towards Golden Indonesia 2045.

ASWKADA is expected to be able to strengthen the role of deputy regional heads as partners of regional heads to improve the progress and welfare of their respective regions

“At this National Conference there is also technical guidance and the preparation of ASWAKADA’s national work direction as a strategic foundation in facing various increasingly complex and layered development challenges,” he said

Also present at this activity were the Expert Staff of the Minister of Home Affairs for the Civil Service and Public Services Anwar Harun Damanik, S.STP, M.M.

Expert Staff for the Law of Government and Politics of the DIY Province, Dr. Sukamto, S.H., M.H, Mayor of Yogyakarta Hasto (Dr. (H.C) dr.H. Hasto Wardoyo Sp,OG (K).
