On Sunday (July 20, 2025), welcomed 21 orphans living in neighborhood units (RW) 7 and 16, Sukasari Village, Tangerang District.
The annual orphan charity event is a routine event held to provide assistance and care to orphans. This event is usually held in the month of Muharram, specifically on the 10th of Muharram, known as Eid al-Fitr for Orphans.
The main purpose of this charity event is to alleviate the economic burden.
“Orphans often face economic hardship due to the loss of their parents who provided the bread.
The assistance provided can help meet their basic needs, such as food, clothing, and education,” said Hj. Aminah Sobri, S.Ag.
She also said that losing a parent can cause trauma and loneliness. Assistance can provide moral support and show that they are not alone.
This activity also encourages the community to be more caring and sharing with others, especially orphans.
“Islam encourages providing assistance to orphans. This activity is one way to practice religious teachings,” she concluded.
