Rescue personnel from the Jakarta Search and Rescue Office, along with a joint SAR team, finally found a teenager who drowned in the Cisadane River in Kedaung Village, Neglasari District, Tangerang City, Banten Province.
The victim, Muhammad Anggi Nurfadillah (m/17), was found deceased on Wednesday (September 17) at around 4:22 PM WIB.
The victim’s body was found face down and floating in the water approximately 100 meters from the initial location of the incident.
“The victim was found by the joint SAR team this afternoon and immediately evacuated to the funeral home to be handed over to the family,” said Desiana Kartika Bahari, S.E., M.H., QGIA., QIA., Head of the Jakarta Search and Rescue Office, who served as the SAR Mission Coordinator (SMC) for the SAR operation.
The search involved a 5-kilometer search using a rubber boat and a 2-kilometer visual search on land along the river.
Dozens of joint SAR personnel were deployed, including the Jakarta SAR Office, the Kedaung Baru Village Head, the Tangerang City Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), the Tangerang City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD).
The Tangerang City Fire Department, the Neglasari Police, the Neglasari Police Community Police, the Kedaung Baru Babinsa (village supervisory officer).
The Tangerang City Scouts’ Patriot Saka (Saka Patriot) Cares for Tangerang City, the Malikha Ambulance, the MTA SAR, Pelopor (Pelopor).
Sahabat Yatim (Friends of Orphans), the Tangerang City BAZNAS (National Azan Azan), the Helix Ambulance, the Tangerang City RPAI (Indonesian Islamic Religious Organization), and local residents.
The victim drowned on Tuesday (September 16th) at around 11:00 a.m. WIB. He was fishing at the location.
However, it is suspected he slipped and was swept away by the strong current, where he drowned and was found deceased.
