SERANG, POSINTERNASIONAL.COM.

To commemorate National Heroes’ Day 2025, the Banten Province National Land Agency (BPN) Regional Office held a flag-raising ceremony led by the Head of the Banten Province BPN Regional Office, Harison Mocodompis, in the courtyard of the Banten BPN Regional Office on Monday (11/10/2025).

This ceremony marked the official start of the ceremony after assuming his new mandate as Head of the Regional Office.

During the ceremony, Harison read the address of the Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, inviting all elements of the nation to bow their heads in reverence to remember the services of the heroes.

Heroes, as conveyed in the speech, are not merely names engraved on tombstones, but rather lights that illuminate the path of the nation’s struggle to this day.

From Surabaya to Banda Aceh, from Ambarawa to Biak, heroes fought not for themselves, but for the future of the nation—for all of us who enjoy independence today.

Responding to the message, Harison Mocodompis said, “The Minister of Social Affairs’ remarks today truly resonated deeply with us, serving as a guide for our future.

Without these heroes, we wouldn’t be standing here wearing the Korpri uniform and serving the people.

I, a villager from the tip of North Sulawesi, wouldn’t be standing on this extraordinary land of Banten without their struggle,” he said.

He also reminded us that the heroes’ fighting spirit should not only be remembered but also embodied in our real work.

“Independence gives us the opportunity, not just to develop ourselves, but to give meaning by working, serving, and filling our independence with real contributions,” he continued.

Furthermore, Harison emphasized that the spirit of heroism is not just a thing of the past, but lives on in every land worker who works to serve the community.

“Don’t disappoint our heroes, including the heroes of the ATR/BPN (National Land Agency) who have sacrificed for the nation and state since this institution was founded.

Remember them in every step we take, so that we will not neglect the trust and dignity of the institution,” he urged.

The Heroes’ Day commemoration ceremony concluded with a collective prayer and a moment of silence to commemorate the services of the nation’s heroes.

The ceremony was attended by the Administrator and all staff of the Banten BPN Regional Office, the Heads of the Land Offices of Tangerang Regency, Serang Regency, Pandeglang Regency, Lebak Regency, Serang City, Tangerang City, South Tangerang City, and Cilegon City, along with officials from across Banten Province.
