To maintain consumer protection and orderly trade, the Tangerang Regency Department of Industry and Trade (Disperindag) on Thursday (11/12)
checked the accuracy of fuel gauges at several gas stations ahead of Christmas and New Year 2026.
The Head of the Tangerang Regency Department of Industry and Trade, Resmiyati Marningsih, stated that the checks were conducted at six gas stations along busy routes in Tangerang Regency. The six routes include:
Gas Station 34-15606, Tangerang-Merak Toll Road; Gas Station 34-15607, Tangerang-Merak Toll Road km. 45, Balaraja; and Gas Station 34-15601, Raya Serang Road km. 25, Sentul Jaya, Balaraja.
Gas Station 34-15706, Jl. Raya Serang, Cibadak, Cikupa; Gas Station 34-15806, Jl. Gatot Subroto km. 9, Bitung; and Gas Station 34-15712, Jl. Raya Serang km. 12, Sukadamai, Cikupa.
“We are conducting this monitoring to ensure the accuracy of the measuring instruments at these gas stations, so that the public can be assured of any fraudulent fueling practices,” Resmiyati said while providing information to the Communications and Information Technology Office (Diskominfo) on Thursday (11/12/25).
She explained that this activity is a follow-up to Circular Letter from the Directorate of Metrology Number MR.03.03/2871/PKTN/SD/11/2025 concerning the Implementation of Monitoring.

“For this inspection process, we’re focusing on measurements from gas station weighing devices.
So, we ensure that the measurements are accurate; if a consumer buys one liter, they should receive one liter,” he said.
Meanwhile, Fery Saputra, Head of the Metrology Division at the Tangerang Regency Trade and Industry Office, stated that gas station measuring devices were inspected at six gas stations in Tangerang Regency.
From December 9th to 10th, this activity was carried out to ensure the accuracy of the fuel filling devices.
“In addition to monitoring, we are also ensuring the availability of fuel stocks in Tangerang Regency in the run-up to Christmas and New Year,” he explained.
He hopes that the regular inspection of gas station measuring devices will protect consumers from fraud, given the public’s enthusiasm for using private vehicles during Christmas and New Year.
“If fraud is found, the public is asked to report the case with evidence to the Tangerang Regency Trade and Industry Office’s Metrology Division.
We also wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and please remain cautious on the road,” he concluded.
