Tangerang Regent Moch. Maesyal Rasyid delivered a public lecture to students from Pramita Indonesia University (UNPRI) Tangerang during the Student Leadership Basic Training (LDKM) Vol. II 2025.

The event was held at the Kitri Bhakti Regional Government Training Hall in Curug, Tangerang Regency, on Sunday (12/14/25).

In his public lecture, Regent Maesyal Rasyid emphasized the strategic role of students as agents of change, from the smallest to the national level.

According to him, students have a significant responsibility and role to play in achieving Indonesia Emas 2045.

“Students must truly be able to become a golden generation with morals, critical thinking, and the courage to try. Don’t be afraid of making mistakes; the most important thing is to be willing to try and continue learning,” said Regent Maesyal Rasyid.

He emphasized that the ideals of Indonesia Emas 2045 will not be realized without the active role of the younger generation, especially students, who will also contribute to the nation’s development.

Therefore, students are required to study diligently to become superior human resources (HR) capable of bringing Indonesia on par with other developed countries.

“It is impossible for us to become a developed nation without a process. Young people, schoolchildren, and university students must study diligently.

You are future leaders and agents of change who will determine the future of the nation,” he emphasized.

He also emphasized the Tangerang Regency Government’s commitment to improving the quality of human resources through various flagship programs, including free scholarships until graduation.

They even attend prestigious universities in Indonesia and abroad, such as Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Untirta University (Untirta), and Swiss German University.

And other campuses. Furthermore, the Tangerang Regency Government has also launched a free school program for private elementary and junior high school students.

“The Tangerang Regency Government has provided scholarships until graduation to 200 students at ITB, IPB, Untirta, SGU, and other universities, even abroad, to Al-Azhar University in Cairo,” he said.

Before concluding his presentation, he advised the LDKM participants to compete and push themselves to develop leadership character from an early age.

According to him, aspiring leaders must demonstrate good attitudes, speech, and behavior, and be able to serve as role models and inspire others.

“A leader must be able to maintain their attitude and actions, because what they do will be followed and obeyed by their subordinates.

You are future leaders, so prepare yourselves as well as possible,” he concluded.
