The Banten Province Regional Office of the National Land Agency (BPN) and the Banten Provincial Government held a Coordination Meeting to Establish a Team to Accelerate Land Certification for Lakes in the Banten Provincial Government on Tuesday (12/16).
The event took place in the Banten Provincial Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) Hall on Monday (12/15/2025).
The Head of the Banten Provincial BPN Regional Office, Harison Mocodompis, stated that efforts to accelerate lake certification are not merely an administrative process.
Rather, they are a strategic step to protect regional assets from potential disputes, encroachment, and inappropriate conversion.
Harison reported on the progress of land certification for 137 lakes, reservoirs, and reservoirs (SDEW) belonging to the Banten Provincial Government in 2025, spread across all regencies/cities in Banten Province.
Along with the awarding of the Banten Province Lake Certification Task Force’s vests, nine Right of Use Certificates were also presented.
One of these was the Land Title Certificate for Situ Gintung, located in Cirendeu Village, East Ciputat District, South Tangerang City.
“Thank God, the Governor has handed over the 20th certificate, including Situ Gintung, out of a total of 137 plots. Regarding the target, this team will work to develop a timeline based on the level of difficulty of each plot.
After that, we will meet again to ensure the target for completion is achieved in stages.
What is clear is that we have already achieved one, and hopefully, we will see what else we are working on by the end of 2025,” he explained.
Harison emphasized that as the land administrator, the National Land Agency (BPN) ensures that the entire certification process is carried out in a clear and clean manner.
The team formed not only consists of land surveyors and registration personnel, but also a dispute and case handling team.
“That’s also at the National Land Agency (BPN). Together with the Governor’s team, we will assess the extent and level of the dispute.
There are other cases, not just disputes,” he said.
Meanwhile, Banten Governor Andra Soni explained that the formation of this team aims to expedite the certification of lakes in Banten and to map the problems at each location.
With the involvement of experts in their fields, cross-sector coordination is expected to be more effective.
He hopes that all lakes in Banten Province will return to their original function.
“I said earlier that these lakes used to serve as water reservoirs.
We hope we can restore their function,” said Andra Soni.
The Governor of Banten awarded the Task Force vests to several officials, including the Head of the Banten Provincial BPKAD.
Rina Dewiyanti, the Regional Secretary of Banten Province, Deden Apriandhi, the Head of the Public Works and Public Housing Agency, Arlan Marzan, and the Heads of Land Offices throughout Banten Province.
