The victim was reported drowned on Tuesday (December 30th) at around 1:00 PM WIB while playing with friends on the banks of the Cisadane River.

Rescue personnel from the Jakarta Search and Rescue Office, along with a joint SAR team, found a child victim previously reported as having drowned in the Cisadane River in Selapajang Jaya Village, Neglasari District, Tangerang City, Banten Province.

On Wednesday (December 31) at around 10:25 a.m. Western Indonesian Time. The victim, named Nisa (4), was found deceased approximately 7 kilometers from the scene.

“The victim was found this morning and immediately evacuated to be handed over to her family,” said Desiana Kartika Bahari, S.E., M.H., QGIA., QIA., Head of the Jakarta Search and Rescue Office, who served as the SAR Mission Coordinator (SMC) for the SAR operation.

The search effort carried out by the Joint Search and Rescue Team included searching the river using rubber boats and anchors within a 2-kilometer radius from the incident site to the Bojong Renged area.

This continued with a 4-kilometer radius from Bojong Renged to Teluk Naga, as well as a visual search by land for a 2-kilometer distance along the riverbank.

The SAR operation involved a joint SAR team comprising the Jakarta Search and Rescue Office, the Neglasari Police, the Tangerang City Fire Department, the Tangerang City Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), the Neglasari Village, the MTA SAR, the OCC, and local residents.

The victim was reported drowned on Tuesday (December 30th) at around 1:00 PM WIB while playing with friends on the banks of the Cisadane River.

The victim is believed to have slipped and fallen into the river and been swept away. After an intensive search by the Joint Search and Rescue Team, the victim was finally found.
