The Tangerang Regency Government (Pemkab) and the Tangerang City Government (Pemkot) completed the signing of the Handover Minutes (BAST) for the Network Asset Grant in Tangerang Regency, Banten.
Piping and Subscription Connections for Region III of Tangerang City were transferred from Perumdam Tirta Kerta Raharja (TKR) of Tangerang Regency to Perumda Tirta Benteng (TB) of Tangerang City. The event was held at the Banten High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati) Hall in Serang on January 6, 2026.
Tangerang Regent Moch. Maesyal Rasyid was present at the event, along with Tangerang Mayor Sachrudin, Head of the Banten High Prosecutor’s Office B. Maria Erna Elestiyani, staff from the Banten High Prosecutor’s Office, the Head of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), the Supervisory Board, and the directors of Perumdam TKR and Perumda Tirta Benteng.
On this occasion, Tangerang Regent Maesyal Rasyid stated that the signing of the BAST was the third phase.
This also marks the conclusion of the entire handover process for the pipeline network assets between Tangerang Regency and Tangerang City, as agreed upon in the initial agreement.
“Alhamdulillah, today we have completed the third phase and conclude the handover process for the pipeline network assets and subscription connections. The first and second phases were completed in previous years.
This includes Region II in September 2025, and today, Region III is finalized,” stated Regent Maesyal Rasyid.
He explained that the total subscription connections handed over reached approximately 29,000 connections, covering Regions I, II, and III in Tangerang City.
“With the completion of this phase, all pipeline network assets in Tangerang City are now officially under the authority of Perumda Tirta Benteng,” he explained.
He continued, stating that although the assets have been handed over, there is still significant collective work to be completed, particularly in terms of outreach to the public as customers.
“Our shared responsibility is to educate the public that clean water network and service management is now under the authority of the Tangerang City Water Company (PDAM).
This outreach is important so that the public understands the change in management without compromising service quality,” he added.
He also emphasized the Tangerang Regency Government’s commitment to continuing to support improved clean water services through intensive communication and coordination between the Tangerang Regency Water Company (Perumdam) and the Tangerang City Water Company (Perumda).
“Even though the water supply has been handed over, the people of Tangerang will still be served. Tangerang’s reputation will not be lost.
We will continue to be responsible, alongside the Mayor, to ensure improved clean water services,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, Tangerang Mayor Sachrudin expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Tangerang Regency Government and all parties involved for the signing of the asset grant agreement (BAST).
“On behalf of the Tangerang City Government, I express my appreciation and gratitude.
This activity represents a form of synergy between local governments and PDAMs to achieve a better water management system,” said Sachrudin.
He hopes that with the handover of these donated assets, clean water services to the people of Tangerang City will be optimized, both in terms of quality, quantity, and continuity.
“This is not simply an asset transfer, but much more.
The goal is to improve public services to ensure they are maximized and optimal.
Hopefully, this synergy will continue to be maintained and the benefits truly felt by the community,” he added.
In her remarks, the Head of the Banten High Prosecutor’s Office, B. Maria Erna Elestiyani, expressed her appreciation to the Tangerang Regency Government.
The Tangerang City Government, Perumdam TKR, and Perumda Tirta Benteng for their trust in the Banten High Prosecutor’s Office in assisting with the asset handover process.
“We express our gratitude and appreciation for the trust placed in the Banten High Prosecutor’s Office, together with the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).
We will assist in ensuring this handover process is transparent, accountable, and provides legal certainty,” she said.
She emphasized that the assistance was comprehensive, from both the legal side by the Prosecutor’s Office and the calculation and administration side by the BPKP, To mitigate legal risks now and in the future,
“What we do today must be truly firm, so as not to create legal issues in the future.
The Attorney General’s Office has a legal assistance function, as stipulated in the law, to ensure good, transparent, and accountable governance and regional-owned enterprise (BUMD) governance,” he emphasized.
With the signing of the BAST for the grant of pipeline network assets for Region III, it is hoped that clean water services in Tangerang City will improve.
It will also strengthen the synergy between the Tangerang Regency Government and the Tangerang City Government for the welfare of the community.
