Tangerang Regent, Moch. Maesyal Rasyid, inaugurated 149 judges for the 56th Tangerang Regency-level Qur’an Recitation Competition (MTQ) at the Sapphire Hotel, Gading Serpong, Thursday (January 8, 2026).
On this occasion, Regent Maesyal Rasyid revealed that the 149 judges for the 56th Tangerang Regency-level MTQ had participated in technical guidance and orientation.
They also received guidance from the judges’ supervisors to prepare them for their future duties.
“Since morning, the judges have been undergoing orientation and receiving guidance from the judges’ supervisors.
And thank God, at the end of the day, 149 judges were inaugurated as judges for the 56th Tangerang Regency MTQ,” said Regent Maesyal Rasyid.
He expressed his hope that the inaugurated judges would carry out their duties and responsibilities well during the 56th Tangerang Regency-level MTQ. Tangerang for five days.

Meanwhile, the General Chairperson of the LPTQ and Regional Secretary, Soma Atmaja, stated that the Technical Guidance and orientation activities for the panel of judges were the first steps in preparing for the 56th MTQ at the Tangerang Regency level.
“This technical guidance and orientation aims to align perceptions on assessment methods among the panels of judges in order to produce quality qori (reciters) and improve professionalism in the judiciary in accordance with the latest rules,” explained Soma.
He continued, explaining that a total of 170 participants attended, consisting of 21 administrators of the Tangerang Regency LPTQ (Religious Education Institute) and 149 members of the 56th MTQ (Religious Education Institution) judges.
“We are emphasizing the use of digital technology in all stages of this year’s MTQ to increase transparency and efficiency, including:
E-MTQ for online participant registration, E-Maqro, and E-Assessment for digital assessment,” he said.
