TANGRANG, POSINTERNASIONAL.COM.

Kelapa Dua District held a Development Planning Meeting (Musrenbang) to prepare the 2027 Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD).

The event took place in the Kelapa Dua District Hall and was lively, with traditional gambang kromong music adding to the lively atmosphere.

Kelapa Dua District is known as a strategic economic area with rapid development in industrial areas, trade centers, banking, services, and housing.

The area is also supported by adequate health and education facilities. Currently, the population of Kelapa Dua District has reached 179,633, with a population growth rate of around 4 percent per year.

Furthermore, there was a 19.8 percent decrease in extreme poverty rates in the 2023–2024 period, as well as a decrease in stunting rates from 622 toddlers at risk of stunting in 2024 to 420 toddlers in 2025.

The Head of Kelapa Dua Sub-district, Dadang Sudrajat, explained that this year’s Musrenbang (Regional Development Planning Forum) carried the theme “Optimizing the Industrial, Trade, and Food Security Sectors on a Sustainable Basis.”

This theme generated various development proposals gathered from five sub-districts and one village in the Kelapa Dua Sub-district.

“From the results of the pre-Musrenbang, we concluded that there are five main programs: economic strengthening, health improvement, education, infrastructure, and community empowerment.

These five programs are broken down into 50 priority proposals that will be submitted to the next level,” said Dadang.

He added that the implementation of the Musrenbang theme has begun to be realized through concrete steps, including providing entrepreneurship training.

This also opens up new business opportunities for the younger generation to boost the economy and reduce extreme poverty.

“Thank God, we donated a business cart to the Youth Organization (Karang Taruna) as an entrepreneurial stimulus.

Even more encouraging, five members of the Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) have also committed to providing similar business carts.

So, each sub-district and village will receive one business cart for each Youth Organization,” he said.

Furthermore, Dadang explained that the annual Sub-district Development Planning Meeting (Musrenbang) is a strategic forum.

It gathers community aspirations and aligns development programs to meet real needs on the ground and aligns with regional development policy directions.

“Many of the results of the 2025 Musrenbang for implementation in 2026 have been accommodated and realized.

While not all proposals were accepted, we will resubmit those that have not been realized in the following year.

This is to ensure that development issues in Kelapa Dua Sub-district can be resolved gradually,” he said.

Various aspirations were also raised during the event, including a discussion on waste. Sub-district Head Dadang responded that the steps taken include environmentally-based waste management.

“We also encourage active community participation through waste sorting education, the implementation of waste banks, and regular community service activities as preventative measures to reduce waste accumulation,” he added.

On the same occasion, the Secretary of Kelapa Dua District, Dwi Candra Budiman, added that Kelapa Dua District is one of the economic centers in Tangerang Regency and is among the top three regions contributing to Regional Original Income (PAD).

“With the density of trade and service activities, optimal basic services are certainly needed.

Therefore, infrastructure improvements such as repairing connecting roads, drainage, and street lighting are our main focus for the comfort and smooth flow of community activities,” explained Dwi.

Furthermore, Dwi explained that in the food security sector, Kelapa Dua District will utilize Situ Kelapa Dua as a center for freshwater fish farming, such as catfish and other fish.

This program is expected to create jobs, increase the area’s attractiveness as a tourist destination, and stimulate the community’s economy.

“This food security program will also be integrated with the health sector, particularly in addressing stunting.

Because fish farming products can be used as a source of nutrition for communities in need,” he added.

Kelapa Dua District also plans to collaborate with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs from various parties.

To support and ensure the success of these programs, such as fostering children with stunting.

And providing tailored employment opportunities through skills training, so that the Kelapa Dua District community can prosper.

Abdul Kodir, a member of the Tangerang Regency Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) who attended, expressed his support for the proposed Kelapa Dua District program.

He believes that the Musrenbang (Regional Development Planning Forum) is an important instrument in ensuring sustainable development.
