Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) received a working visit from a delegation of Chinese Young Entrepreneurs along with members of the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Indonesia.
The meeting, which was also attended by officials from the China International Youth Exchange Center, took place at the ATR/BPN Ministry Office, Jakarta recently.
On this occasion, Minister AHY emphasized the bilateral relations between the Republic of Indonesia and the People’s Republic of China which have been going on for a long time.
He believes that this close relationship can strengthen the prospects for good economic cooperation in the future.
“Through Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation (UUCK) or the Omnibus Law which is currently in effect, the Ministry of ATR/BPN has a role.
“One of them is ensuring it is easy for investors to run a business,” said the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN.
To the entrepreneurs from China who were present, he explained that UUCK provides a new concept to increase the convenience for investors in running business in Indonesia.
The convenience referred to includes the licensing process and land management to start business activities.
“The Ministry of ATR/BPN is committed to accelerating the realization of Detailed Spatial Planning Plans (RDTR) throughout Indonesia to resolve various challenges faced by investors in starting businesses and obtaining business permits,” said Minister AHY.
He also mentioned other ATR/BPN Ministry programs to increase investment in Indonesia, namely Complete Systematic Land Registration (PTSL) and Electronic Land Certificates.
Where in implementing this program, strong bilateral relations between the Republic of Indonesia and the People’s Republic of China are needed.
“I hope all parties can contribute to strengthening the strategic partnership between Indonesia and China,” explained Minister AHY.
Meanwhile, Director of the China International Youth Exchange Center, Zhang Hua, said that this meeting was a form of synergy between entrepreneurs from the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Indonesia.
Specifically, in order to establish strategic partnerships to be able to invest in Indonesia. “We feel very happy because we met the Minister.
“Through this meeting, we have an understanding regarding the Indonesian Government’s commitment to providing ease of doing business for foreign investors,” he said.
Also present on this occasion were Deputy Minister of ATR/Deputy Head of BPN, Raja Juli Antoni; Secretary General of the Ministry of ATR/BPN.
Suyus Windayana Director General of Land and Spatial Survey and Mapping, Virgo Eresta Jaya; as well as the Special Staff of the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN.
