A total of 2.4 million plots of land were successfully registered within 100 working days of the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN),

Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) through the Complete Systematic Land Registration (PTSL) program. This was revealed at a Media Gathering at the ATR/BPN Ministry Office, Jakarta, Friday (07/06/2024).

Based on data from the Directorate General of Land and Spatial Survey and Mapping (SPPR), in February 2024 when Minister AHY started his duties as minister, registered land plots were recorded at 110.8 million plots.

One hundred days later, namely on May 31 2024, 113.3 million plots of land were registered throughout Indonesia.

Since its launch in 2017 or within seven years, the PTSL program has increased by approximately 250%. This can be seen from PTSL’s achievements which increase every year.

“When it was launched, the PTSL program had 46 million registered plots of land. “Because it is estimated that there are 126 million plots of land, at that time the President felt that this had to be accelerated,” said Minister AHY.

The success of the PTSL program even received appreciation from the World Bank. On May 13 2024, the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN was invited to take part in the 2024 World Bank Land Conference in Washington DC, United States.

He was invited to tell about land registration in Indonesia which was considered an achievement because it exceeded expectations.

“It is true that we are not perfect, but it is a comparison when in Washington DC, after attending the World Bank event I had a side meeting with the Head of the Dutch BPN, exchanging experiences.

They are the most advanced in the world, but he himself said that data collection had been carried out throughout the Netherlands on 8 million plots of land.

“So the spectrum of problems we have is certainly much more complex, but thank God, because we can do this progressively, we get awards,” said Minister AHY.

Along with the increase in the number of registered lands, within 100 working days of Minister AHY, as many as 20 districts/cities have been declared complete.

thus increasing the total number of complete regencies/cities to 33 regencies/cities. The Ministry of ATR/BPN is targeting 104 complete cities/regencies throughout Indonesia.

“Cities and districts are given complete status because all existing land plots have been mapped and recorded. Thus, it is clear that this provides or is very necessary for local governments to take policies in the field of spatial planning and land.

“In the coming weeks and months, there will be more and wider scope for us to declare complete cities/regencies throughout Indonesia,” stressed Minister AHY.
