Deputy Regent of Tangerang, Intan Nurul Hikmah, symbolically provided agricultural production facilities assistance to the Farmer Group in Eduwisata, Sodong Village, Tigaraksa District.

This is a form of government support and commitment in supporting and facilitating Farmer Groups in Tangerang Regency, Thursday (03/13/2025).

In her remarks, Deputy Regent Intan Nurul Hikmah explained that the agricultural sector plays a role and is very vital as the main source of food.

Agricultural commodities have high benefits and economic value in supporting food security and improving the community’s economy, such as herbal plants.

“The opportunity to cultivate herbal plants, in this case red ginger and turmeric in the Tangerang Regency area is still very open with promising potential.

With the increasing public awareness of the benefits of herbal plants.

Of course, it will increase the demand for herbal plants themselves which in the end can increase business opportunities in this commodity,” said Deputy Regent Intan.

Deputy Regent Intan greatly appreciates the Tangerang Regency DPKP and related stakeholders who have worked hard and continued to develop the agricultural industry in Tangerang Regency.

This step is a strategic step to realize a strong, productive and competitive economy.

“I appreciate the steps of the Tangerang Regency DPKP which today carried out the handover of agricultural production facilities for red ginger and turmeric cultivation.

Later, there will be several other herbs that we will also plant such as temu lawak, lemongrass, kencur and many more,” he said.

Furthermore, Deputy Regent Intan carried out a symbolic planting of turmeric which was combined with the activity of providing assistance to the Farmers Group in Eduwisata, Sodong Village.

This turmeric tree is expected to grow well so that it can become a useful herbal plant, especially for the people of Tangerang Regency.

“Without the support and solid cooperation of all stakeholders, this event certainly would not have been able to be carried out properly.

I also hope that this activity can improve the economy to be advanced, independent and food secure especially for farmers in Tangerang Regency,” he hoped.
