Bringing Services Closer to the Community, Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) Supports the Establishment of the North Tangerang Autonomous Region (DOB).

Support for the New Autonomous Region (DOB) of North Tangerang continues to flow, and this time, this support came from the Chairman of the Tangerang Regency DPRD, Muhamad Amud.

The Golkar Party politician from Tangerang Regency stated that he has pushed for the inclusion of the North Tangerang Autonomous Region (DOB) study in the 2025–2029 Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD).

“I have conveyed and pushed for the inclusion of the North Tangerang Autonomous Region (DOB) study in the 2025–2029 RPJMD,” Amud stated to Portal Desa on Sunday, July 27, 2025.

Amud explained that the study includes public discussions involving academics and the North Tangerang community, identifying existing potential.

“There is a standard budget for the study, depending on the needs being studied. It certainly requires a budget, and the technical aspects are handled by the executive branch,” he said.

As long as it’s for the benefit, goodness, and bringing services closer to the community, Amud confirmed his continued support for the establishment of the North Tangerang Autonomous Region (DOB).

“However, thorough preparation is essential, as even after the division, the parent government will remain responsible, so the study must be truly comprehensive,” he added.

According to Amud, with the rapid development in the northern coastal region, North Tangerang has great potential to become a new regency, but spatial planning must still be taken into account.

“Because the northern region still has a significant agricultural base.

Agricultural land and economic centers must be balanced and aligned so that food security can be met, not only for the economy but also for the region,” he concluded.

The North Tangerang Regional Expansion Agency (Bapeda) is currently intensively discussing the formation of the North Tangerang Autonomous Region (DOB) with public officials at both the national and regional levels.

Bapeda is also actively promoting the formation of the North Tangerang Autonomous Region (DOB) to various community groups, including farmers.

Fishermen, laborers, contract workers, civil servants, community organizations, and other community groups.

Furthermore, the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bapeda) has also conducted an independent study on the formation of the North Tangerang Autonomous Region (DOB).
