Tangerang Regent Moch. Maesyal Rasyid, along with Banten Governor Andra Soni, attended the Chinese New Year celebration at the residence of a Chinese figure in Situgadung Village, Pagedangan District, (February 18, 2026).
On this occasion, Regent Maesyal Rasyid stated that his presence with the Banten Governor and interfaith community leaders was a form of strengthening ties and mutual respect, as well as fostering togetherness.
“First of all, Happy Chinese New Year to the people of Tangerang Regency who are celebrating, and to the Province of Banten.
And on behalf of the Regional Government, on behalf of the people of Tangerang Regency, we would like to express our gratitude for the Governor’s visit to the Tangerang Regency, especially in Situgadung,” said Regent Maesyal Rasyid.
He also emphasized that the momentum of the Chinese New Year celebrations strengthens brotherhood and togetherness among the people of Tangerang Regency who live in diversity.
According to him, diversity is one of the strengths for building a harmonious and peaceful Tangerang Regency.

Koh Handi Surya, a prominent Chinese figure in Pagedangan, expressed his appreciation for the presence of the Governor and Regent of Tangerang at the Chinese New Year celebrations.
“Thank you for coming, Mr. Governor and Mr. Regent. This is a very good example of pluralism, which we have begun.
