TANGERANG, POSINTERNASIONAL.COM.
Tangerang Regent Moch. Maesyal Rasyid, accompanied by the Head of the Tangerang Regency Water Resources and Natural Resources Development Agency (DBM) and his staff, directly inspected the condition of the agricultural bridge in Badak Anom Village, Sindang Jaya District, on December 31, 2025.
The Regent explained that his visit was a swift response and a demonstration of the Tangerang Regency Government’s commitment to supporting infrastructure for community activities, especially for farmers.
“This morning, the Head of the Public Works Agency reported to me that in Badak Anom there is a small bridge used by the community, especially farmers, for harvesting and daily activities.
I saw firsthand that many farmers also cross this bridge,” said Regent Maesyal Rasyid.
He emphasized that the bridge plays a vital role because it is used daily by the community for agricultural activities and mobility.
“This bridge, approximately 1.4 meters wide, is quite vital. It was built independently by the community in 2011 and is still actively used today, with a fairly high traffic volume,” he said.
He added that the bridge connects Badak Anom Village, Sindang Jaya District, with Jambukarya Village, Rajeg District, and crosses the Cimanceuri River, an active river.
He also mentioned concerns that the bridge, which has been actively used by the community for quite some time, will deteriorate if it continues to be used without repairs.
“Because this is an active river and has quite high traffic volume, I’m worried that over time this bridge will deteriorate and become dangerous.
This year, since the 2026 Regional Budget has been passed, we will first repair safety features such as the bridge railings,” he explained.
Furthermore, the Regent stated that efforts will be made to build a permanent bridge through the 2027 budget to provide safer and more sustainable access for the community.
“God willing, in the 2027 budget and with permission from the Ministry of Public Works, we will build this bridge so that the community’s daily needs and activities can be properly accommodated,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Tangerang Regency Public Works and Water Resources Agency, Iwan Firmansyah, stated that his agency will conduct technical planning for the bridge construction in accordance with applicable technical guidelines and standards.
“The Public Works and Water Resources Agency will prepare a comprehensive technical plan and coordinate with the Ministry of Public Works regarding permits for water resource utilization,” Iwan explained.
He added that the agricultural bridge, located in Kampung Badak RT 04/01, Badak Anom Village, Sindang Jaya District, is planned to have a span of approximately 48 meters and a width of 1.4 meters.
“The bridge crosses the Cimanceuri River, which falls under the authority of the Ministry of Public Works through the Ciliwung-Cisadane River Basin Agency (BBWS),” he concluded.
According to him, the planning and construction of this bridge will refer to Regulation of the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Number 2 of 2024 concerning Procedures for Business Licensing for the Use of Water Resources and Approval of Water Resource Use.
