Acting Regent of Tangerang Andi Ony appreciates the free flats development program for the community in Pakuhaji District.

The development is organized by the Indonesian Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas.

Acting Regent of Tangerang Andi Ony expressed his appreciation while attending the groundbreaking event by the Indonesian Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas, Maruarar Sirait in Sukawali Village, Pakuhaji District, Friday (1/11/24).

The program is an implementation of the National Movement for Mutual Cooperation to Build Houses for the People.

“We fully support this initiative, and hope that the sustainability of this project can also have a real impact on improving the welfare of the people of Tangerang Regency, especially in Pakuhaji District,” said Andi Ony.

He hopes that the construction of free houses for low-income people, which is a direct implementation of the National Movement for Mutual Cooperation to Build Houses for the People, will be an inspiring example for all parties to participate in efforts to provide decent housing for low-income people.

“The program, which is part of the National Movement for Mutual Cooperation to Build Houses for the People, is expected to inspire many other parties.

Here the government synergizes and collaborates with the private sector and philanthropists,” he said.

Meanwhile, in his remarks, the Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas of the Republic of Indonesia, Maruarar Sirait, said.

The free flat construction project for low-income people is a concrete step by the government in seeking to provide decent housing for people in need.

By utilizing 2.5 hectares of land, it is hoped that it can provide housing solutions for families with economic limitations in the Tangerang area.

“This program is part of the Prabowo-Gibran Cabinet’s commitment to achieving the target of building 3 million houses in the next few years,” said Maruarar.

He is optimistic that with the spirit of mutual cooperation and collaboration with various related ministries, the private sector and the community, the target of building 3 million houses can be achieved.

“We encourage the spirit of mutual cooperation and collaboration between the government, private sector, and the community to provide direct benefits for those in need. This is a real form of joint efforts to build the nation,” he said.
