Jakarta, posinternasional.com

Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) held a meeting with members of the press in the Prona Hall of the Ministry of ATR/BPN, Jakarta, Friday (07/06/2024).

Press personnel who attended this media gathering included editors in chief and reporters from around 150 national media.

This meeting was within the framework of AHY’s 100 working days as Minister of ATR/Head of BPN since being appointed by President Joko Widodo on 21 February.

Apart from being a moment of friendship, this meeting was used to convey information and achievements of the ATR/BPN Ministry to the public.

“On this good opportunity, I have intended from the start, as part of the transparency and accountability of government institutions as well as public servants, that we must report to the people what is being done.

“What are the duties, principal and functions, as well as what are the opportunities and challenges we have faced so far,” said Minister AHY.

The Minister of ATR/Head of BPN told what moments happened during his 100 days in office, including ensuring the implementation of the Ministry of ATR/BPN’s priority programs.

He revealed to the media crew present that there were at least three directions from President Joko Widodo which were his work priorities.

The three directions include implementing electronic land certification to make it more massive, revising Government Regulation Number 18 of 2021 regarding granting land rights to support the implementation of carbon trading, and registering 120 million plots of land through the Complete Systematic Land Registration (PTSL) program.

After his inauguration, he immediately carried out problem shopping and coordinated with internal and external parties.

“I did problem shopping, learned quickly, because you know I don’t have expertise or a previous track record in ATR/BPN.

“Therefore, I am obliged to learn quickly and solve problems in the office and in the field, and carry out various coordination with related institutions, including with ministries related to ATR/BPN Ministry affairs,” said Minister AHY.

Next, Minister AHY explained the performance achievements that had been realized within 100 working days.

Other achievements conveyed include spatial planning efforts, PTSL progress, and complete district/city progress.

Other things he conveyed were related to accelerating the implementation of Electronic Land Certificates, accelerating the Agrarian Reform program, land acquisition for development in the public interest, efforts to control and regulate land and space.

To the resolution of land disputes and conflicts. “Hopefully this can be recorded and conveyed to the wider public,” added Minister AHY.

In particular, he told the media crew who were present to provide massive outreach regarding the issuance of Electronic Land Certificates, especially the benefits that the public can get from these certificates.

“Issuance of Electronic Land Certificates, I ask you to help spread the word so that the public understands that there is an Electronic Land Certificate service.

“Thus, more people will come to the Land Office to process Electronic Land Certificates,” said the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN.

Finally, Minister AHY explained the work plan for the next 100 days. He hopes that with support from media partners, the ATR/BPN Ministry will remain consistent in implementing priority programs.

“Hopefully there will be no downtime, continue to be strong, enthusiastic, and play the role of media friends as pillars of public accountability and transparency.

“Hopefully we will continue to provide input including support so that our program can be increasingly well received by the community,” he concluded.

After the presentation, a question and answer session was held with media colleagues which was followed by a friendly chat. Present on this occasion were Deputy Minister of ATR/Deputy Head of BPN, Raja Juli Antoni, Middle High Leadership Officials and Special Staff; Head of the Land Bank Agency.

Primary High Leadership Officials and Experts. Present online were all Heads of Provincial BPN Regional Offices throughout Indonesia.
