Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) visited the Bandung Regency Land Office on Sunday (09/06/2024).

On this occasion, he reviewed the implementation of the Weekend Land Service or what is known as PELATARAN.

Bandung Regency itself is one of 107 Land Offices that provides services on weekends.

“This is a form of concern and presence of the government and the state for the community in land matters,” said Minister AHY.

“By opening the counters on weekends, Saturdays and Sundays, this provides an opportunity for residents who cannot take care of the land on weekdays because they work from Monday to Friday,” said Minister AHY after carrying out the inspection.

PELATARAN is concrete evidence of the Ministry of ATR/BPN’s commitment to making it easier for the public to manage land administration.

For the record, PELATARAN is a service intended for management that is not authorized.

“So what’s different is that with the opening of this Saturday-Sunday service, people can come directly, so they no longer need to be represented by anyone,” explained Minister AHY.

In this way, the public can immediately find out that the general management process or procedure is much simpler now and faster.

“This is what we continue to promote: BPN services must be more professional, more humane, but also faster and easier, so that the public will be better served,” added Minister AHY.

On the same occasion, the Head of the Bandung Regency Land Office, Rahmat, stated that this PLATARAN was very beneficial for the people of Bandung Regency.

Because, with a large area and large population, PELATARAN streamlines services for the community.

“This is important because Bandung Regency is a large district in West Java.

So there are more than one million plots of land, with a large population, there can be 3,000-5,000 visits to the Land Office in one month, including applications submitted by the public.

“So it is very significant if we open for two additional days,” concluded Rahmat.

Also accompanying the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN, were a number of Middle and Primary High Leadership Officials of the Ministry of ATR/BPN; Head of the West Java Province BPN Regional Office and his staff.

Present on this occasion were Member of Commission X DPR RI, Dede Yusuf and the ranks of Forkopimda Bandung Regency.
