Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Nusron Wahid officially canceled a number of certificates issued in the sea fence area in Kohod Village, Tangerang Regency, Banten Province.

This cancellation process was carried out by checking three main things, namely legal documents, administrative procedures, and the physical condition of the land material.

“Today, together with the team, we are carrying out the certificate cancellation process, both SHM and HGB. The procedure begins by checking the legal documents.

The second step is to check the procedure. We can see it via computer to ensure whether the process is correct or not.

However, because this concerns cancellation, the last step is to check the physical material.

On this occasion, Minister Nusron was accompanied by the Director General of Land Dispute and Conflict Handling, Iljas Tedjo Prijono and the Head of the Public Relations Bureau.

Harison Mocodompis, witnessed the Signing of the Application for Cancellation of the Building Use Rights Certificate (HGB) and Ownership Certificate (SHM) submitted by the Head of the Tangerang Regency Land Office which was immediately approved by the Head of the Banten Province BPN Regional Office.

Furthermore, Minister Nusron admitted that the land certificate verification process itself takes time, and to date, around 50 plots of land have been examined.

“We will continue to check one by one, because every document and land material must be checked carefully,” said Nusron Wahid.

In addition, regarding sanctions in issuing certificates, Minister Nusron explained that if it is a criminal act, of course there are sanctions.

“However, for our officials, it is called maladministration, because it is considered imprudent and careless.

Our inspectorate has been checking for four days, and all related parties have been examined,” he said.

In an effort to improve supervision, the Ministry of ATR/BPN is committed to improving risk management and the accuracy of officers in the verification process.

“With the Bhumi ATR/BPN application, any errors cannot be hidden. Everyone can access data and become a social control,” concluded Minister Nusron.
