The Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) received the One Map Policy for Better Governance Award from the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs.
The award was received directly by the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) at the 2024 One Map Policy Summit which was held at St. Regis Hotel, Jakarta on Thursday (11/07/2024).
This award was given for the Thematic Geospatial Information Geoportal (IGT) policy product for Land and Spatial Planning, namely an information system to accelerate the management of thematic geospatial data and information by adopting the One Map Policy compilation, integration and synchronization workflow.
For information, the Ministry of ATR/BPN has completed 18 IGTs with priority themes which must be completed in the compilation and integration stage in 2024.
“Thank God, by the end of last June, the 18 IGTs had reached the integration stage, meaning they had achieved the target.
However, quantitatively, each IGT theme is still not perfect. “Because of that, we will continue to perfect it, until the end of 2024,” said Minister AHY.
Minister AHY further said that the ATR/BPN Ministry continues to strive to improve the quality of land data which can simultaneously improve the quality of land services.
“We continue to accelerate the validation and digitization of land data, especially at the regional level, which will be the key to the successful implementation of Electronic Land Certificates,” said Minister AHY.
In the last four months, the number of Land Offices that have implemented electronic services has increased 25 times.
“We have succeeded in increasing the number of Land Offices capable of running electronic services. “From 10 Land Offices to 251 Land Offices,” said Minister AHY.
Meanwhile, regarding the One Map Policy, Minister AHY revealed that there were several challenges faced in implementing the program.
“In implementing the One Map Policy, both at the compilation and integration stages, we encountered a number of challenges for which we simultaneously continued to find solutions,” he said.
There are at least three challenges faced by the ATR/BPN Ministry in integrating data that supports the One Map Policy.
“First, there is no data standardization for Land Thematic Geospatial Information (IGT) in accordance with Indonesia’s One Map and One Data Policy.
Second, the process of preparing an integrated land and space database is still in progress.
“And third, the available data cannot be accessed and utilized easily and transparently because it is still interoperable,” explained Minister AHY.
The One Map Policy Summit 2024 itself is an annual agenda initiated by the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs.
One of the objectives of its implementation is to formulate ideas, concepts and breakthroughs in responding to challenges and sustainability of the One Map Policy and resolving discrepancies in space utilization after 2024.
This meeting was chaired directly by the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Airlangga Hartarto. Present to present a report on the implementation of the One Map Policy was the Chief of Presidential Staff, Moeldoko.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Retno Marsudi; Minister of Environment and Forestry, Siti Nurbaya Bakar; Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Harvick Hasnul Qalbi and Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, John Wempi Wetipo.
