The Tangerang Regency Government (Pemkab) continues to intensify the Cheap Market Movement (GPM) at several points, one of which is at the Multipurpose Building (GSG) of the Pagedangan District Office, Tangerang Regency, Tuesday (11/3/2025).
The Cheap Market Movement activity in Pagedangan District was opened directly by Tangerang Regent Maesyal Rasyid.
He said that this activity aims to help the community meet their basic food needs at affordable prices.
“This activity aims to ease the burden on the community, especially in the holy month of Ramadan. Hopefully, the community can feel helped by the provision of this cheap basic food assistance,” he said.
Regent Maesyal also appreciated the enthusiasm of the community in welcoming the Cheap Market Movement (GPM).
He said that he would re-evaluate the implementation of the GPM, to be held again later.
“This proves that the community needs attention together with the Tangerang Regency Government, sub-districts and also village heads. We will design it again in the future, hopefully activities like this can be carried out again,” he said.
It is known that this GPM activity is one of the 100-day work programs of Tangerang Regent Maesyal Rasyid and Tangerang Deputy Regent Intan Nurul Hikmah which continues to be intensified.
Meanwhile, Acting Head of Pagedangan Sub-district, Yusuf Fachroji said that the community is required to exchange vouchers to buy packages that have been provided.
Previously, cheap basic food package vouchers had been distributed through villages and sub-districts to be distributed to the community.
“We use this voucher so that cheap basic food packages can be right on target.
This program is planned to be held again before Eid al-Fitr. Hopefully it can be implemented and this activity can be beneficial for the community,” he concluded.
A total of 2,950 basic food packages containing 1 kilogram of sugar, 1 kilogram of rice, 1 kilogram of wheat flour and 1 liter of cooking oil.
The package can be purchased at a price of Rp 35,000 per package.
