Regional Secretary Urges Tangerang Regency Civil Servants to Commit to Supporting Regent and Deputy Regent’s Programs.

The Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Tangerang Regency, Soma Atmaja, emphasized the importance of all civil servants (ASN) maintaining their work ethic to support the flagship programs of the Tangerang Regent and Deputy Regent, particularly in human resource development.

“The scholarship program that has been launched is concrete evidence of the regional government’s commitment to developing a superior generation.

This program is not only for private elementary and junior high school students in Tangerang Regency, but also for more than 200 children who will continue their higher education.

Including at IPB Bogor and Untirta,” explained Soma while leading the Monday morning assembly at Raden Aria Yudhanegara Field, Tangerang Regency Government Center, Monday (4/8/25).

In his address, the Regional Secretary stated that the Tangerang Regency Government will send 20 Tangerang Regency students to Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt.

They will depart in September and will be fully funded until completion.

“We are facilitating them, especially children from underprivileged families.

This is a concrete manifestation of the government’s presence in developing superior human resources, because Indonesia’s progress is impossible without superior human resources,” he emphasized.

Furthermore, Soma also asked all employees to respond wisely to various issues going viral on social media, particularly those related to the formation of New Autonomous Regions (DOB), to avoid causing unrest in the community.

“We need to be more prudent in responding to dynamics, including the issue of the formation of new autonomous regions (DOB). The experience of establishing Tangerang City and South Tangerang City shows that the process is very long and full of challenges,” he said.

According to him, the discourse on the formation of new autonomous regions must be carefully studied and not rushed.

The regional government will be cautious and thorough in every strategic decision-making.

Concluding his remarks, the Regional Secretary expressed his appreciation for the performance of the sub-districts.

Particularly the three who were named the best sub-districts in Tangerang Regency: Kaduagung, Balaraja, and Curug Kulon.

“Congratulations to the best sub-districts. This morning’s encouragement for all of us to continue working well and to the best of our ability for the people of Tangerang Regency,” he concluded.
