Tangerang Regent, Moch. Maesyal Rasyid, officially laid the first stone for the construction of the Ar-Rasyid Mosque located in the Grand Almas Residence Housing Complex, Pete Village, Tigaraksa District, on Saturday (6/28/2025).
In his remarks, Regent Maesyal Rasyid revealed that the construction of the mosque was the result of deliberation and the spirit of togetherness of the residents who received ease and guidance from Allah SWT.
“We are given an easy path, given guidance by Allah SWT. So it was agreed that the construction of this mosque must be carried out immediately,” he said.
According to him, the name of the Ar-Rasyid Mosque itself was decided by the committee and also suggestions and proposals from all the congregation and residents of the housing complex, not suggestions or suggestions from the regent.
“When the name proposal was submitted to me, I could only agree.
Because it was a community suggestion and the committee gave the mosque that name,” he added.
The Regent hopes that the Ar-Rasyid Mosque, built on an area of approximately 300 square meters, will not only be a place of worship, but also a center for community development, education, and social activities.
“A mosque is not only a place of prayer, but also a place to unite the community, educate children, and increase our faith and piety,” he said.
He also emphasized that the local government will continue to support every community initiative as a form of synergy in spiritual and social development in the residential area.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Ar-Rasyid Mosque DKM, Ronaldi, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the support of all parties, especially to the Regent of Tangerang Regency.
“Today is proof that if the community moves together, Allah will open the way, especially since we have the Regent directly present,” he said.
Ronaldi also reminded that the laying of the first stone was only the beginning of a long development process.
He invited all residents to continue to support the construction of this mosque, not only with funds, but also with energy, prayers, ideas, and enthusiasm.
“This mosque does not belong to the committee, but to all of us. Every stone that is installed, every nail that is stuck will be a witness to our charity until the end of time,” he explained.
The construction of this mosque is also planned to develop from the initial design which is currently still in the refinement stage.
The committee hopes for full support from all residents so that this place of worship can be completed soon and utilized by the community.
