Tangerang Regent Moch. Maesyal Rasyid kicked off a fun walk event, which included a bazaar and exhibition of MSMEs in Ngider District, to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence Day at the Kelapa Dua District level.
The event was organized by the Tangerang Regency Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises Office in collaboration with media partner About Tangerang, and took place at the Kelapa Dua District Mini Stadium on Sunday (August 10, 2025).
In his remarks, Regent Maesyal Rasyid expressed his appreciation to the community for enlivening the Indonesian Independence Day celebrations with enthusiasm and joy, demonstrating respect for the heroes, love, and pride in the nation.
“Thank God, everyone is here in good health, happy, and joyful. We are here to remember and honor the services of the heroes who liberated the Republic of Indonesia.
Thank you to the residents of Kelapa Dua District who have raised the Red and White Flag, as a symbol of love and pride for our nation,” said the Regent.
The Regent also encouraged participants and the Kelapa Dua District community to take advantage of the momentum of this activity not only to maintain health and fitness but also to strengthen togetherness and unity, while supporting the local and regional economy.
“After the walk, let’s shop at MSMEs. Besides improving our health, we also help increase community income.
I am proud of the people of Kelapa Dua. I hope MSMEs will continue to thrive and the economy will continue to grow,” he added.
The Head of the Tangerang Regency Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises Office, Anna Ratna Maemunah, stated in her report that this activity is a concrete step to encourage the growth of the people’s economy and increase the competitiveness of local products.
“This MSME festival exhibition is a concrete manifestation of the Tangerang Regency Government’s commitment to empowering cooperatives and micro-enterprises.
We hope that MSME products will become better known, expand their market reach, and foster strong business networks,” said Anna.
Meanwhile, Kelapa Dua Sub-district Head, Dadang Sudrajat, expressed his pride in the community’s enthusiasm for participating in a series of events celebrating the 80th Indonesian Independence Day.
“The extraordinary community participation proves that the spirit of togetherness in Kelapa Dua is very strong.
This event not only commemorates Indonesian Independence Day but also serves as a forum for fostering camaraderie and fostering real support for MSMEs.
We are ready to collaborate with all parties to continue advancing Kelapa Dua,” he said.
The event was attended by thousands of participants from various community elements, sub-district officials, village and regional governments.
