The private sector, and volunteers to improve the quality of life of coastal communities, particularly fishermen and underprivileged families.
He expressed his appreciation for Prudential and Habitat’s commitment and consistency in building decent housing and supporting coastal area development.
“Thank you to the volunteers and Habitat for Humanity for showing their concern for the people of Tangerang Regency.
This isn’t just about building houses, but about building hope and a more decent life for the community, especially fishermen and coastal families,” said Regent Maesyal.
He emphasized that the affordable housing development program is the beginning of a comprehensive coastal area development, starting with the provision of basic infrastructure such as lighting, clean water, roads, and educational and health facilities.
“We prepare the houses, build access and basic infrastructure, and encourage economic and educational activities here.
I am confident that the community will become self-sufficient if we are present and provide the right facilities,” he concluded.

He hopes that in the future, educational and health facilities will also be built, as well as local economic centers based on potential marine products such as fish crackers, otak-otak (fish cakes), and other processed products.
“Let’s continue this collaboration. God willing, with sincere intentions and the cooperation of all parties, coastal communities can live more prosperous, healthy, and independent lives,” he concluded.
On the same occasion, Erwin Sulaksono, a representative from Habitat for Humanity Indonesia, stated that 110 housing units will be built in the Tanjung Kait area, using a community-based, self-help approach.
“The houses will be 30 square meters in size and consist of two bedrooms, a living room, and a kitchen.
Construction is being carried out with the active participation of residents, giving them a sense of ownership of the homes they build,” Erwin explained.
He added that his team has built more than 1,300 houses in Mauk District in recent years, strengthening infrastructure such as embankments, boat docks, and developing potential marine tourism.
