Tangerang Regency Regional Secretary (Sekda), Soma Atmaja, attended the Social Service, Health and Nutrition Counseling, and Alms to Orphans and the Poor event organized by the Tangerang Regency Nahdlatul Ulama (PCNU) Branch Management at the Tigaraksa PCNU Office, Saturday (6/28/2025).
This social service event was filled with mass circumcision for 45 children and the provision of alms to 55 orphans.
In his remarks, Regional Secretary Soma expressed his appreciation and full support for PCNU’s noble initiative which was considered in line with the vision and mission of regional development, especially in improving the quality of life of the community.
“On behalf of myself and the Tangerang Regency Government, I would like to express my highest gratitude and appreciation to PCNU for this activity,” said Regional Secretary Soma Atmaja.
According to him, this social service activity is a real manifestation of social concern that reflects the noble values of Islam, namely attention to orphans and the poor, as well as strengthening friendship between each other.
Health and nutrition counseling is also considered important to prepare a healthy and superior generation in order to realize a prosperous and competitive Tangerang Regency society.
“We hope that the orphans we help today will grow into a pious, intelligent generation, and be able to bring positive changes to the nation and region, especially in welcoming the Golden Generation of 2045,” he said.
Furthermore, Soma advised the children to stay enthusiastic and never feel alone and continue to hang their ideals as high as the sky and continue to learn with enthusiasm.
“Stay enthusiastic, never feel alone, because there are many people who care and want you to grow into strong, intelligent, and noble people,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Tangerang Regency PCNU Dr. KH Mahmud Jumhur, Sp. OG, M.Kes revealed that.
The free medical service and health and nutrition counseling activities are also PCNU’s support for the local government, especially, the reduction of stunting which is currently also being intensively implemented.
“The efforts we are making are certainly in line with the local and national government programs, namely reducing stunting. Don’t let there be malnutrition and Stunting,” he said.
