The Tangerang Regency Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) and Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) successfully held a fun walk as part of the 2026 National Press Day (HPN) commemoration.
The event took place in front of the Tangerang Regency Zero Mile Monument (January 25, 2026).
The event was very lively and euphoric thanks to the enthusiasm of thousands of participants from the general public from various regions and several OPDs who filled the Tangerang Regency Government area, with the route passing through the Tangerang Regency government area.
Shortly before sending off the fun walk participants, Iwan Firmansyah, Acting Regional Secretary of Tangerang Regency, expressed his strong support for the 2026 HPN event series.
“The press is one of the four pillars of democracy. I hope this collaborative collaboration can foster healthy synergy and integrity,” he said.
He also explained that the fun walk, in addition to fitness activities, will serve as a positive symbol for the press and the local government.
“Hopefully, this activity will continue. We must campaign to foster a healthy lifestyle within the community,” said the Acting Regional Secretary of Tangerang Regency.
Similarly, the Acting Chairperson of the Tangerang Regency PWI, Selly Loamena, expressed her gratitude to the Tangerang Regency Government for its full support of the fun walk event commemorating National Press Day 2026.
“Within such a short time, thank God, the local government has been very supportive and contributed by collaborating with the Tangerang Regency PWI to make this fun walk a success,” Selly added.
Selly said this is an opportunity for all journalists to participate in enlivening the grand event of National Press Day 2026, as Banten Province is hosting this year.
“Therefore, let’s make it a success with full enthusiasm in our work and become professional journalists with integrity,” she concluded.
The fun walk event was further enlivened by the event committee’s distribution of dozens of door prizes from several sponsors, including PT Mayora, Bank Kerta Niaga, and contributions from several Tangerang Regency Regional Government Organizations (OPDs).
The event was also attended and enlivened by Suryadi, Advisor to the Tangerang Regency PWI, as well as Fahdi Khalid (Akew), Secretary General of the Banten Province PWI; Idham Teguh Akbar, Deputy for Organizational Affairs; Diyan Mayangsari, Head of the Tangerang Regency Communications and Information Office.
Feby, Head of the Communications and Information Office; Ratih Rahmawati, Head of the Tangerang Regency Youth and Sports Office; Suryadi, Assistant Regional Head 1 of Tangerang Regency; and all Tangerang Regency Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPDs).
