Deputy Minister of UMKM, Helvy Moraza inaugurated the House of Empowerment and Development of Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises (RPPKUM) owned by the Tangerang Regency Government in Legok District. Tuesday (3/18/25).
The inauguration was attended by the Regent of Tangerang, Moch. Maesyal Rasyid, Deputy Regent Intan Nurul Hikmah along with officials within the Tangerang Regency Government and UMKM actors.
Deputy Minister of UMKM Helvy Moraza in his remarks expressed his appreciation for the initiative of the Tangerang Regency Government in building this RPPKUM facility as an effort to form a conducive cooperative and UMKM ecosystem.
“This step is a very good initiative in forming a conducive ecosystem for the growth of cooperatives and UMKM in Tangerang Regency.
With a population of more than 3.4 million people and a workforce reaching 1.7 million people, community productivity must continue to be optimized,” said Helvy.
According to him, based on BPS 2024 data, the processing industry sector has contributed 33.65% to the GRDP of Tangerang Regency.
The agricultural sector also has great potential with superior commodities such as vegetables that can be further developed through this facility.
This Empowerment House is designed as a business training center for cooperatives and MSMEs, with various facilities such as product showrooms, marketing rooms, training rooms, online licensing services, and collaboration with PT. Smesco Indonesia.
For this reason, his party will continue to support every effort to increase the capacity of MSMEs in Tangerang Regency.
“In the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, there are four deputies who handle the development of MSMEs from the initial stage to the medium scale. We will continue to support increasing the capacity of MSMEs in this area,” added Helvy.
The Regent of Tangerang, Moch. Maesyal Rasyid, emphasized his commitment with the deputy regent to build a strong people’s economy.
His party wants to continue to ensure that MSMEs develop and are able to contribute to the national GDP.
“We want to ensure that MSMEs in Tangerang Regency continue to grow.
The contribution of MSMEs to national GDP reaches 61%, with a total of 64 million business actors.
Tangerang Regency itself has more than 6,100 MSMEs that are ready to grow and contribute to the regional economy,” said Regent Measyal.
According to him, as a form of support, the Tangerang Regency Government has allocated a total revolving fund of IDR 70 billion, with funds that have been distributed reaching IDR 32 billion.
This assistance includes business capital for MSMEs, including stalls and other small businesses, in order to open new jobs and increase the competitiveness of local businesses.
In addition, the Tangerang Regency Government has also made a cooperation plan with banking institutions and other financial institutions to strengthen access to financing for MSMEs.
“We want to ensure that the MSME ecosystem in Tangerang Regency is getting stronger with easy and affordable access to capital,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Tangerang Regency Cooperative and Micro Business Service, Rd. Anna Ratna, explained that the Empowerment House was designed with an integrated one-stop facility.
“The main objective of the Empowerment House is to increase the empowerment and development of cooperatives and micro-enterprises in Tangerang Regency through incubation and coaching clinics for business actors,” said Anna.
In addition, in this RPPKUM there are also facilities for business legality services, socialization, training, and mentoring, capital support through the UPTD of the Cooperative and UMKM Service.

“With this facility, we hope that cooperatives and UMKM in Tangerang Regency can move up a class and be highly competitive, both in the local and national markets,” he said.
With the inauguration of the Cooperative and UMKM Empowerment and Development House, it is hoped that economic growth in Tangerang Regency will increase and have a positive impact on community welfare.
