The Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) of Tangerang Regency, received the ‘Green Journalist’ award from the Tangerang Regency Government (Pemkab), at the peak of the National Waste Care Day (HPSN) at the Tangerang Regency level which was held at Sumarecon Mall Serpong, Kelapa Dua District, Tangerang Regency, Friday (28/2/25).
The Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Tangerang Regency, Soma Atmaja who was represented by the Head of the Tangerang Regency DLHK, Fachrul Rozi explained, at HPSN 2025,
The Tangerang Regency Government (Pemkab) gave the highest award to institutional figures and institutions that have shown concern and real contributions in waste management and environmental preservation in Tangerang Regency.
“Hopefully this award will further motivate us to continue to do our best for a cleaner and healthier environment,” said Fachrul Rozi who read the speech of the Tangerang Regency Secretary, at the closing ceremony of the 2025 HPSN at the Tangerang Regency level, Friday (28/2/25).
The Tangerang Regency Government also expressed its deepest gratitude to all parties who have contributed to the implementation of the 2025 HPSN, both from government agencies, the business world, academics, communities and the general public.
“The collaboration and synergy that we have built must continue to be maintained and improved in order to realize an independent Tangerang Regency in increasingly brilliant waste management,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Tangerang Regency PWI, Sri Mulyo expressed his gratitude for the appreciation and award given by the Tangerang Regency Government to the Tangerang Regency PWI.
According to him, this ‘Green Journalist’ award is real evidence of the synergy between the regional government and the PWI.
With this award, said Mulyo, it will increase the spirit of PWI to continue to improve the professionalism of the journalist profession in overseeing and participating in regional development.
“In addition to increasing resources in the field of journalism, PWI is also concerned with social activities of the community and the environment.
In addition to publications and campaigning for the importance of clean living, PWI Tangerang Regency is also actively involved in planting mangroves in the coastal areas of Tangerang Regency,” he explained.
